From what I understand.... checking on the Aorta would require a CT scan.. Or at least some other bigger scan/ test. So while you're getting a clean bill of health from a regular check up.. your aorta could be showing signs of stress under the radar. My friend has been receiving clean bills of health from the doctor regarding his heart and for the most part general health but after he finished chemo therapy (he had a tumour removed from his kidney) he was required to do another CT scan and the doctor mentioned that his aorta was slightly enlarged and that he should have it looked at just as a precaution. A month later he had a mild stroke. It may not have been related to his aorta but I'm terrified of what could happen if he doesn't do that follow up that she suggested. Aortic ruptures aren't a rare thing... but checking on the aorta isn't a part of the general check up.

you have to take your health into your own hands. you can't expect a doctor to tell you what to do and what is right. you know your body, and if something is wrong. doctors just follow the rules, if it says everythings fine then they won't do anything else.

It is devastating when medical says you are OK, but actually you are not OK. There's no way to look for information. I guess health information is not always come from the doctors mouth. You have to look 'out there' as well.

Well, you can always go for second, third, and fourth opinions (and not every doctor has graduated at the top of his or her class...just saying..), especially if you feel something isn't right. Though, in Alan's case, I don't know if he felt there was anything wrong with him.

Md's don't know what people think they do. It's disturbing. No Md is trained heavily in the effects of Magnesium deficiency and how it plays in to heart health and BP etc. So they only test for things they can prescribe for and few know how to actually heal something. People with BP issues need full mineral analyses and a lot of the tests done for it are TOTALLY in-accurate. like the blood serum test for Mg. It'sa joke Body needs more ATP for the heart we get that by supporting mitochondria with magnesium (good ones not crappy ones like oxide/citrate) Or we can take Mg and also take D-ribose

If Alan's doctor performed a stress test on him, then it's possible its what lead to his fatal heart attack. My dad had a stress test & the results were great. _One week_ later, at 3:30a Sunday morning, he had a massive heart attack that lead to him only having 40% of his heart functioning after! They couldn't reverse it. They ended up in emergency surgery & putting stents in. They said he had a 99% blockage that the test didn't see even though it was in the main artery behind his heart! (aorta) The stress test exacerbated it & wreaked havoc that day. My husbands aunt had the same thing happen before we met. They say stress tests gets things in motion if you already have a problem internally & don't know it!!

I don't believe her when she says they checked his heart and found nothing. I don't think there was ever a "full physical" done.. I think she's saying it to try to act like there was nothing they could have done when the reality is that if he HAD gone to the doctor they could have caught it. The fact that she says "There WAS no history of heart problems in the family so there's nothing the doctors were looking for"... but his SISTER HAD HEART SURGERY. That means THERE IS HISTORY OF HEART PROBLEMS IN THE FAMILY! 🤦‍♀️ She just didn't want the blame to be put on her in any way where people would say "Why didn't you make sure he went to the doctor, he could have been saved!" That would depend on what caused the heart problems. If she led an unhealthy lifestyle, then this can cause heart disease and wouldn't be classed as hereditary which is what the doctors mean when they say 'history' History of heart problems would be something hereditary like a hole in the heart or several men in the family were born with an enlarged aorta- something like that.
