I do not understand the tactic of closing a lower number when the points are close instead of closing the bigger number your opponent is using for pointing. From my experience and games watched you usually lose doing that as they did in this final match!

Generally speaking if your opponent has lets say 16 and 18s open, if they're better at hitting trip 16s than 18s, you'd want to close that number first. However in this game it was definitely a misplay
