In the meantime you're correct, making "bad" neighbor(hoods) get that way is always whites taking them over, dropping crime, building shopping areas that are safe, increasing values of houses. It was done in Grant Park in the 90's, East Point/Virginia Ave, and many other areas as you mentioned. Tyler Perry sent out a message. He said instead of trying to get a seat at the table he wanted to create his own table. This is the start. I had a good convo with a friend of mine about how no matter good or bad his movies and shows are he has continued to support black actors and actresses. Some who have went on to have very successful careers. I think that this a great opportunity for other young actors, actresses, artists and more to excel as well.

I’ve always liked Tyler Perry and knew he was a good person. A lot of the black and minority actors that are house hold names today got a real shot at success by Tyler perry. I noticed too he did not try to control them so many of them even went to higher budget and bigger production movies and you never heard of any beef or Tyler perry feeling left out. That’s true mark of someone that believes in himself and has a vision. I’m proud of him about his studios but I’m really not surprised. Kevin Hart is someone else I see a similar spirit and nature in too.
