Very impressive build Tyler ! So much meticulous attention to detail. I appreciate how you trying to retain everything to factory OEM. It’s a light weight oem modded e46 . Looks very fast and probably handles even better . 👏

Colour matching all the exterior trim cosmetics looks great but i personally love the black highlights eg. Door handles & pre facelift etc.. but the bonnet change with the larger kidney grills is genius. Gorgeous car and all that time & sacrifice you've poured into this is inspiring! Thankyou from Sth Australia 👍

Where did you find that power steering cooler? I tried finding it online but no luck. I recently converted my ps to electric with a Volvo pump on my 46 and I’m looking for a bigger cooler but I want to maintain the oem quick disconnects!!
@OLearysBMW3 ай бұрын
@bullionstacking I've tried to locate another one myself, no luck. Even when searching with the part number, it brings up a newer style cooler. This style must've been used for a short period then discontinued. I removed it from a parts car. E83 X3, M54 6 speed manual.

Excellent attention to detail. I’m curious if the 250’s detents ever give you any issues. Mines always been tough to get in reverse and 5th when it’s not at operating temp.
@OLearysBMW4 ай бұрын
5th gives me issue when cold. Once warm it springs back on it's own.
@wtfronsson4 ай бұрын
Mine accidentally goes to 5th when I throw it at 3rd. And getting reverse in is always a center console smash. Not sure which box it is, but it's stock on a -01 330i 5-speed.
@Nathan_Johnson77234 ай бұрын
@@wtfronsson you probably have the zf but mine also takes a center console smash for reverse. My passengers look at me funny

@@OLearysBMW You didn’t explain the purpose or how you built it. What does the motorcycle brake reservoir do?
@OLearysBMW15 күн бұрын
@NarcFreedom I used some fittings and hose, just like I stated. It's an overflow system to prevent leakage/mess from fluid expansion. As it's common to see BMWs of this era to have a messy reservoir.

Hey, can you give me number part of steering oil cooler? I can't find it in Poland so I think it can be in E83 only for US. And greetings from Poland!
@OLearysBMW2 ай бұрын
@random_cube5440 This particular cooler is a very limited release. When I search the part number stamped on it, only the updated ones are shown. I have yet to see another one anywhere. It came from an M54 E83, 6 speed manual. I've had others search for it as well to no avail.
@random_cube54402 ай бұрын
@@OLearysBMW thx for trying at least, I will use E90 3.0d cooler since is biggest I can find to use in M54

How I wish I could just remove airbags from our project e46. But no, factory safety equipment is mandatory for road cars in my country. Stuck with grandpa seats that weigh a ton, while going for weight reduction. Meanwhile a regular 80's car can drive on the road without airbags, and with any kind of racing seat and steering wheel. Because it didn't have the bags in the first place. I feel so safe thanks to these laws.
