I am 44 yrs old and did my first race last weekend at Horn Rapids WA.....and let me tell you.....anyone with the guts to walk their bike to that starting line for the first time is about as brave as they come. Great job and congrats on your first race man!

I think that's one thing that never gets easier man, it's ALWAYS nerve wracking walking up to the line and waiting for that gate drop!
@woolyt29147 жыл бұрын
ReturnOfDeeO interestingly enough I actually wasn't nervous lining up at the gate I was more nervous the night before and once I got to the track I told myself to just have fun and the nerves were gone

Me and my brother just got offered to race a brand new 250’s for a team owned by a family friend. A little worried and skeptical as I just got my first bike (2021 crf250r) fall of 2020 and am not by any means a professional rider. I have a good feel for the bike and ride pretty hard but this video definitely helps build my confidence. 👍🏽😁

ran pretty clean for the first race ever, small mistakes here and there. DO NOT be afraid when you get next to these guys, from a what i saw you have pretty good bike control, and very good line selection for a beginner rider. The best advice i could give to any younger inexperienced rider is dont worry about pounding motos, work techniques, corners, and squeezing the bike with your legs, the rest will come to you as you progress

Pretty good for your first race but try to not brake into the corners just roll into them and roll the throttle and on the jumps just give it that much more throttle and it'll be easy and smooth
@criticaljoint1017 жыл бұрын
Wooly if you're reading this, riding comes down to comfterbility on the bike. More time you put in the more comfterble you will be and start pushing your mentality of going faster in corners, jumping, etc.

the rules are that if it's your first year then you are considered a begginer, now if they notice that some guy is winning by like a half a lap then they are moved up to novice,

There are many factors that determine which gear you should start in, but I think second is usually a good solid bet.

Yeah nice job keep on two ride smooth and steady good job,nice work thru whoops...for first race,good to be a little tentative around other beginners never know there up to,best to give beginner class guys a little extra space when your trying to pass em or when u gotta ride along with them don't look at them look past them,u know why u fell good chance u didn't put ur foot out or u put it out to late,no weight on the front wheel need ur leg out as u go in to turn other wise not any weight holding the front wheel down,hit the gas and it lifts right out of the rut....good race good riding u did not look nervous...look like u had fun...
