This is probably the most interesting review I’ve seen of this album. You brought up a lot of points that I didn’t think of and haven’t really seen in other reviews either . Good stuff!

I agree with you about Flower Boy. It is Tyler's Best album, and it is easily one of my favorite albums of all time.

This is definitely one of Tyler’s most interesting albums in terms of who he is and I really like this new form of his emotions and experiences. Great review Mark and I’d love to see more people check this album out. Low 8/10 for me :)

I was excited for this especially after my many disagreements with the igor review which I still site that project to be in my opinion tylers best album

Really enjoyed this album, more than Igor, but less than Flower Boy (tbh it would be hard to beat Flower Boy, that album is almost perfect). 8/10. Thanks for the good review, Mark

Great review (as always). I agree with many of your praises/criticisms of the project and hold a similar score (light 8/10 for me). I would’ve loved to hear your thoughts on “RUNITUP” (one of my favs), but otherwise you hit on every point I shared. Keep it up Mark!

I thought the Baudelaire thing was more directly referencing Series of Unfortunate Events.

FYI: the lallapalooza performances of some of the songs off this album are amazing and definitely worth watching since he posted the whole performance to KZbin. They add so much to the album.

If he reviews Planet Her I wonder if it will be solo or On The Pulse?

most likely On The Pulse, I think

On The Pulse, probably at the end of the episode though

You're the only person I know who has the same opinions as me on Igor and Call Me If You Get Lost 😭Except that I think I liked Igor a little more

Mark, thank you for condemning Tyler's use of the R slur on Safari. While it didn't straight-up ruin the album for me, I was definitely frustrated and unpleasantly surprised about it's appearance, and I didn't feel comfortable openly endorsing the album as a result.
@JillyMaysHere3 жыл бұрын
(I'm aware the slur is also present on Goblin and Wolf, but I kind of assumed I wouldn't have to worry about it appearing on Call Me... because I've gotten the impression that he actively moved away from and abandoned the Eminem/Cartman-esque edgelord shit starting with Flower Boy)

I think this album is great (better than Igor in fact), but certainly not his best. Flower Boy is still king by far.

I think Flower Boy is tyler’s more accessible album than this as it had some radio play. I also don’t see how the ending of flower boy is more impressive or meaningful than CMIYGL ending as glitter and the instrumental closer is a cutesie finish to a album that found tyler lost with his sexuality and his loneliness. I am loving this album as runitup reminds me of three six mafia tear da club up in particular. tyler purposefully doing the bad mixing i feel is a part of him now cherry bomb igor and now this album. and i think he really wanted to mimic that mixtape era whether it was good or bad i personally don’t mind it as that was the only way i could afford most my music back then.

It's good but not as great than the other records in June like Alustrium Backxwash and Helloween 6/10

The constant flexing (and also Tyler's bad singing) was a big turnoff for me. I never looked to Tyler for brand name porn and considering every time I use the internet I invariably end up doomscrolling through images of capitalist hellscapes, this is *not* the soundtrack for me.
@jeremyusreevu2373 жыл бұрын
Personally I really dug the album. It's nowhere near as good as the Masterpiece that is Flower Boy, but it is relatively decent and has its own style.
