Tyler produced the whole album BY HIMSELF. That's how talented he is.

Same for all of his albums. He produced his entire discography. But this is his most accomplished project yet, in my opinion, in terms of production. It's so complex and layered and beautiful.

The woman in the video is a popular American actress by the name of Tracee Ellis Ross. She is the daughter of R&B/Soul icon Diana Ross. Tracee's most notable work was her starring role in a long-running TV show called "Girlfriends", and most recently her work on another hit TV show called "Black-ish". She's known for her great comedic style, sassy personality and her amazingly plump derriere haha .. she also done a couple of other music video cameos. "Touch the Sky" by Kanye West and "Nice For What" by Drake.

This video oddly kinda makes sense. Like when he starts the fire and the beat drops he says the lyrics "don't leave, its my fault" and the camera goes to the empty seat on fire, the lady leaving (a significant other leaving a relationship). And the "my fault" = the fire, he started after being warned not to. Then after he burns he comes back as a fireman during his verse trying to fix things like a fireman would fix the fire (obviously). i'm not good at explaining things through text, but i hope i make some kind of sense.

1) He was warned not to smoke repetitively 2) He disregarded his warning and smoked anyways 3) He hurts himself because of his poor decisions but then rescues himself 4) Then to the viewers he pleads "don't leave, it's my fault" and we stay 5) As the building is burning down we stay and fall to the ground (the camera view) Because we stayed too long in a toxic situation we were damaged. Even though we know he caused the mess for himself and managed to somehow get out fine, we still listened to him and stayed when he asked. Which caused us to get wrapped up in his bad situation and hurt ourselves in the process. To me it's a metaphor for staying in a toxic relationship too long

Alright, so I'm high af right now, but I'm pretty sure I figured out what this music video and song were trying to say. Tyler is/was in a relationship, which is represented by the building. The very awkward dialogue in the beginning (well more so the girl talking and Tyler responding with body language or lack thereof) portrays the disconnect between the two of them, like they're just on entirely different wavelengths. As is said in the song, "you're riding around, love is shaking me up, making my heart break", meaning she is obviously cheating on him or doing him dirty. However, Tyler still loves her to the point that he doesn't want to lose her, which is why he's putting on a giant performance for her and singing, "don't leave, it's my fault". While it's obviously not his fault, he is willing to say/do basically anything to get her to stay, including taking all the blame. There's one thing that Tyler won't do though, which is stop smoking (and this could represent either literally smoking or some other thing). Drawing back from the dialogue in the beginning, the girl doesn't like smoking, or whatever else smoking may be representing. Tyler thinks her extreme dislike is unwarranted and irrational, as is shown in the way the woman talks about why she hates smoking. The extreme disconnect on this particular issue, as well as in general, is causing a wedge between the two in their relationship, which is likely the reason the woman is sleeping around and the relationship isn't doing so well. But, Tyler is willing to look past it all, and he performs his heart out. The woman gets more and more into it as does Tyler; their relationship is going good for a while. Unfortunately, Tyler has to inevitably smoke during the performance, thus breaking the one rule the woman gave him. He then throws the cigarette away after a few puffs, and a fire starts to break out. Logically, a cigarette would never be able to start a massive fire like that, especially just seconds after he throws it. There must be some other huge white elephant in the room that started the fire that neither one can see (which is why we, the viewers, are kept in the dark as well). However, the woman still blames it all on the cigarette when she knows deep down it's irrational, but she's looking for a way to blame it all on Tyler. As the building comes crashing down in flames, and Tyler is still crying out, "don't leave, it's my fault", he takes a new role as a firefighter. He starts to put out the fire while he continues pleading, signifying him admitting fault and trying to put the relationship back together, all the while knowing full well he's not responsible for this giant fire. The song and video end abruptly, while flames still engulf the screen, and this probably means that the relationship is still just in a shitty place and Tyler is still trying to put the pieces back together, both of the relationship and himself.
