In the end of I Hope You Find Your Way Home (the last song on Chromakopia) the chord from the beginning of IGOR is played but it resolves into a different, ominous chord and then the album ends. I guess you could say that Tyler has come full circle with himself and kind of gone through a journey of self discovery and healing, but because of this strange chord at the end, I think there's more. Something deeper that we don't understand yet. This album is definitely not the end.

Same thing Mac Miller did with Circles. If you loop the album, the chords at the end of the last song transition into the chords at the beginning of the first song. Hence, Circles.

you know .. similar to the theme of finding your inner light- and inner acceptance, this theme of finding your true self was prevalent in not just his coming out album Flower Boy, but too in Cherry Bomb. Many times the idea of attaining “wings” to “fly” is mentioned, as in PIOLET the lyrics “You can buy a car, you can buy many things. You can buy happiness, but you can’t buy wings” ,followed by “I just wanna fly,” and “I just wanna find my wings”… God I love Tyler’s work so much 😭

To add to your theory, I could see “Flower Boy” making Tyler’s series a tetralogy instead of a trilogy. That album starts at a new chapter/beginning (“Forward”) most notably with “Garden Shed” in the middle, ending with “Enjoy Right Now” before “Glitter” where Tyler pursues a crush … this all could lead right into the events of Igor. 🤔

An aesthetic theory I have and don’t hold me on this it may be a stretch but who knows but I feel like this is a whole callback to the old horror movie eyes without a face where a girl is wearing a face mask of her face to hide her underneath as she undergone surgery (this is what I remember so if I got it wrong I apologize) and Tyler has the same type of look and mask so I think Tyler is showing how he has to surgically remove himself for others and now he’s wearing this mask that shows his face to hide how he feels deep inside as his feelings have been tormented until later he gets the realization and inner light to remove the mask and show himself with a beautiful face again and also the music videos are shot in this gritty old silent horror movie film aesthetic a bit (mostly noid to possibly show the horrors of paranoia) but this was my theory

Chasing The PooKa From Big Thumpers to Carrot Colored Buses, In Celtic folklore, a pooka (*púca* in Irish) is one of the most enigmatic and mischievous spirits, known to appear in dark, wild, and rugged landscapes. This nature spirit, often described as a dark horse with blazing eyes, finds an interesting parallel in modern symbolism, such as the LaFerrari emblem featured in the music video for Noid by Tyler, The Creator. The Pooka can take on countless forms, from a goat, wolf, rabbit, goblin, or even a human with animalistic features. The pooka's personality and purpose vary, as some tales depict it as a benevolent helper to farmers, while others show it as a trickster, luring travelers into wild rides or causing havoc in villages. Its unpredictable nature is most active during Samhain (Halloween), when the boundary between the human world and the spirit world thins. This flexibility in form and intention resonates across cultures and media, from music to marketing and even astrology, with common themes of shape-shifting, mischief, and mystery woven throughout. Tyler, The Creator’s discography can be viewed as a modern reimagining of the pooka’s shifting identities and unpredictable spirit. In albums like *Bastard*, *Goblin*, *Wolf*, *Cherry Bomb*, *Flower Boy*, *Igor*, and *Call Me If You Get Lost*, Tyler crafts a landscape of characters who embody contrasting personas and explore complex emotional realms. Much like the pooka, who oscillates between helpful and malevolent roles, Tyler's characters shift between humor and darkness, anger and vulnerability, all while captivating audiences with their multifaceted identities. His 2024 project, *Chromakopia*, further amplifies this mystique, arriving amid speculation and aligning with the unpredictable, shape-shifting nature often attributed to the pooka. Tyler’s decision to embody these characters parallels the pooka’s ability to morph between benevolence and trouble, drawing listeners into worlds where identity and intention are never straightforward. Adding yet another layer, Tyler’s Chinese zodiac sign, the Metal Goat, reinforces these themes. The Goat is known for its artistic, resilient, and charming characteristics, and it holds the eighth position in the Chinese zodiac, a number associated with balance, comfort, and prosperity. Individuals born under the Metal Goat sign are known for their creativity, artistic inclinations, and magnetic personalities, which mirror Tyler’s own style and impact. In many ways, Tyler’s approach to music is pooka-like, capturing a balance between order and chaos, mischief and meaning, while transforming his artistry into a landscape where nothing is as it seems. Tyler is a Pisces, a sign deeply connected to Greek mythology. The symbol of Pisces draws from the story of Aphrodite (Venus) and her son Eros (Cupid), who transformed into fish to escape the monstrous serpent Typhon. Representing the twelfth sign of the zodiac, Pisces embodies the culmination of all previous signs, making it highly intuitive, emotional, and connected to the spiritual realm. The symbol of Pisces, two crescent moons joined by a line, reflects the Pisces’ duality, its bond with both the earthly and mystical, capturing a journey between spiritual enlightenment and everyday challenges. Pisces is also Ruled by Neptune, the planet of dreams, illusion, and intuition, Shout out to Pharrell. Pisces’ journey for balance between dual realms aligns with the Celtic pooka’s role as a boundary-crossing entity, as well as Tyler’s musical themes of introspection and inner conflict. Pisces individuals, much like Tyler’s own personas, tend to exist in spaces that bridge the familiar and the mystical, the grounded and the surreal. Tyler’s Piscean traits are evident in his work, which explores these realms, bringing out hidden emotions and emphasizing empathy, chaos, and compassion. Exploring the connections between folklore, Norse mythology, and Tyler, The Creator’s artistry reveals an underlying resonance. The name “Inglewood” itself is thought to derive from “wood of the Ing,” a reference to the Norse god Ing, or Yngvi-Freyr often simply called Freyr. Which translates as “Lord,” is a Norse god associated with agriculture, fertility, and, interestingly, the horse cult. His mythological narrative closely aligns with themes Tyler explores in Chromakopia, especially through Freyr's connection to power, creation, and even eroticism. In Norse myth, Freyr is famously represented by a prominent phallic statue in the Temple at Uppsala, an image that parallels some of the raw, provocative themes Tyler addresses in Chromakopia. Freyr’s myth also involves a significant act of sacrifice, a giving-up of his sword to marry his beloved, which highlights themes of desire, vulnerability, and the balance of power. Freyr’s boar, Gullinbursti, whose glowing mane illuminates his path, also symbolizes the clarity and illumination gained through self-sacrifice-a quality Tyler often infuses into his layered personas across albums like Goblin, Wolf, Igor, and Call Me If You Get Lost. This mythological context gives new depth to Tyler’s symbolic choices and characters, who often traverse similar arcs of inner conflict, transformation, and self-revelation. Through each lens, be it folklore, astrology, or branding, these icons illuminate the human experience of engaging with the unknown and finding meaning within life’s contrasting forces. Across cultures themes of shape-shifting, mischief, and mystery reveal a deep, universal fascination with duality and transformation. Figures like the pooka, the Freyr, and modern symbols such as the LaFerrari horse and the Noid, embody a primal energy that speaks to humanity's ongoing dance with the unknown. Tyler, The Creator’s work channels this ancient archetype into a contemporary context, Whether in myth or media, these symbols remind us of the powerful allure and timeless intrigue of mystery, reflecting our collective desire to bridge the realms of imagination and reality.

I have a theory: St Chroma is Igor’s twin. Green is the opposite of pink, which is quite a coincidence. And also, they are polar opposites. Igor is hard gay, soft, and submissive. St Chroma is evil, got a girl pregnant, and very dominant and harsh. There are many other signs that Igor and St Chroma could be related.
@tocide20 күн бұрын
nah, his Igor character is pretty selfish. Chromakopia is his most mature album ever. I don't think it's a character but Tyler himself taking his mask off. His chromakopia character is his insecurity and immaturity. Kinda the same way Wolf was his mature character and Sam is his immature character except Wolf IS Tyler, which is what Tyler said as well in an interview, but now he is St. Chroma. He always represents his evolution as characters because it speaks from what he was at that time. And he could always pinpoint how he was at the time, because that's his self expressed in an art form. At the end of Goblin he said, it's all you. That's the twist of the trilogy. The characters were just a representation of him and his artworks, paintings of himself in a fictional world.

I’m still insanely proud of myself for being part of the community discovering his secret story from goblin > wolf.

Literally Tylers works are all what true albums are, creative works expressing the creators feeligns and stories with them, going from the edgy teen tyler in bastard wolf and goblin, developing into the mature tyler developing through cherry bomb and then his true self being better expressed through flower boy, igor, cmiygl, and chromokopia all cohesively telling tylers stories and feelings as he goes on developing as a person.

it’s assumed that judy died from cancer, she could have been talking about a mental disorder too in the terms of “it spreaded to my head”

i agree with everything youre saying but in Dogtooth him saying “if you dont know my daughter name” is actually a reference to a vine he made ab his “adopted daughter esmerelda” and his old vines are referenced multiple times in this song

Another wild point is most of Bastard was about Tyler hating his dad for not being there.. And now we get mom on the new album saying she kept dad away when he wanted to be there
