There are just games that are just lost before they even start, so might aswell save everyone in the lobby 15+ minutes. Unless you are gm+, queue times are also pretty short, so that shouldn't bother most of the community either way.

@@damaster7276 Nah, it ain’t dumb. It’s the right mindset to have when playing the game. This is why you’re not a challenger like him. Most challenger players that go pro have this mindset. Heck, It doesn’t even matter if you go pro or not. The point here IS that it doesn’t matter whether you lose early or you’re playing from behind, or you have a bad match up. At the end of the day, it’s a team game that is centered around team/macro plays. You surrendering early or playing less optimally due to the negative circumstances will only lead to making the game more loseable. This is why competitions/tournaments have many games where the losing team turn the tides due to a missplay from the winning team. League is simple - you capitalize on enemy’ micro and macro mistakes and make a play beneficial for your team.

Dodges should scale LP loss for the season. First 10 stay at -5, next 5 are -10, next 5 -15 etc. Still gives ~ 25 dodges till youre at the rate for it to just count as a loss, but thats still more than anyone (especially high Elo players) should be dodging.

League matchmaking and elo system is tuned for retention before all else, so in order to actually get high elo like 90% of these ppl u need to be playing 10hrs a day everyday. If it was trying to match people to their elo in non timely matter you would be able to reach high elo MUCH faster if u are better.

You can troll in champ selection after all and force your team to dodge take a loss, waste time and lose LP on top of that. Dodging is the smarter option. You pay a number of points, keep your mmr and streak. Fair and the smarter player in draft gets rewarded. Basically it is part of the draft. And if you draft like a barn animal, then you will stay barn animal.

Two years ago was when they hid player names in the lobby and last year they increased the LP penalty for queue dodging. Another way to explain why it's not part of the game is the fact you can't queue dodge in a tournament, which is self explanatory. Queue dodging is again just inflating your ELO, while actively hurting your ability to get better at the game, and you'd honestly be better off with a different game if you can't enjoy League without constantly dodging.
