you can't level up by killing those chickens cause at some point , let's say lvl 15 for example, you will stop getting xp from those so you have to kill something at your same lvl or lower by 2 lvls or a bit higher to get xp and it's ofc gonna be harder

As a suggestion I suggest can you block all trade and duals dim the options menu and probably turn off sound so you don't have to hear your fans griefing you, South Park was your only experience of World of Warcraft you cannot kill animals until you hit max level add a certain point they stop giving you experience points once they show Gray under level. By the way at the starting levels it is pretty easy to get understanding the game and what not but the further level you go up the harder it gets and learning the mechanics and also Dungeons and so on and so forth I believe it won't be a cakewalk unless your fans are helping you cut through the content but I really doubt you want that.
