The valve on their sand filter IS broken, it leaking when the power is off shows that the spider gasket is probably starting to warp or get torn up. Its not the biggest issue with that pool but it will have water leaking into all other outputs when you backwash (basically back into the pool). The good news is that doesnt really matter atm but will be more noticeable when the pool is clean

I think it’s more interesting to repair from different circumstances so we learn how to treat different situations instead of just getting brand new load of water for each pool. At that point it’s just putting brand new water and calling it good basically.

metal out is good it will work that pool is filled with well water. phosphates are something seperate. pools will build phosphates over time from animals shitting, leaves, dirt getting into the pool from nearby grass flower pots etc. you can get test kits for both of these im not sure why leslie wouldnt suggest bringing in some water where they can do test kits

Long story short, the pump is fucked, my calls and texts are being ignored, cost me $500, pools no where near being done. All you did was dump mega tons of toxic chemicals into my grandparents pool and called it a day, I saw a bird accidentally fall into the pool and the bird started melting. My grandparents pool will never recover.

When my pool is this bad I just throw algaecide and shock and it usually does the trick. I worry about chlorine after the water is clear not when it’s green or brown. Usually like a 5 day process

I'm glad he is doing these videos because they are exactly the things people need to hear and see. Working in a business with pools, people will experience this stuff and not understand what is happening and this good flow of the process. Also, Phosphates are not necessarily related to wells. Sometimes Phosphates can be caused by petroleum-based products or fertilizers (farms usually can be suspect for the later). If I was looking at the chlorine still being in the pool, I wouldn't suspect phosphates because chlorine still exists in the pool. Mineral remover is 100% the right call though by Tyler.

If the pool gets a lot of rain it could be phosphates that are lowering the efficiency of the chlorine. Would need a phosphate test kit. If it's phosphates a splash of phosphate remover cause it's not a big pool might get that pool from green to clean

When TONKA T Pool service came to my house to clean my pool, he emptied my pool completely and replaced it completely with metal remover and chlorine. He left the gate on my pool open after he left to get more chlorine and my toddler feel into the pool. When he emerged from the chemical bath I can say for sure he was now BUILT DIFFERENT. He is now 6'8, 250 pounds and practicing LEAGUE every day. Before he was a good boy but now he has a future. 7/10 would recommend.
