I have a love/dislike relationship with Nikki Ross. Her runs are good but she is the definition of OVERKILL. I agree it's just too many runs. You have someone like Kim Burrell whom runs a lot but still goes with the melody of the song. Nikki should do the same! Nikki be all over the place!!! I had to pause this half way through and regather my worship because she took me completely out of it midway through. Less is more Nikki....

What she did wasn't wrong or nothing... It's just a disconnection with her and the organ player. You can't hit those kinds of notes and not be together on a melody. She should have played for herself or practiced with the guy on keys. You can see the mis communication. The organ player sounded like he didn't know where to go the entire time, but who could blame him with notes like that... Guessing won't work on this one.

I wonder if Nikki wouldn't be the biggest thing in the gospel industry since the Hawkins family, if only she would cut out all the constant runs. She has an incredible voice and a phenomenal range, but she just doesn't seem to be able to sing a whole note to save her ample behind.
