i think you guys are the go to for extreme patrol ( nissan) 4wheel tracking . Apart from low initial vehicle cost, the patrol is THE vehicle to modify for the difficult tracks without even thinking about a whole drive line rebuild.Means , modifying to make the drive line more capable .The vehicle was made pretty looking already from factory .Add the capability mods and itll look twice as pretty.and now will catch up the tojo in price value too.Its a win win for the patrol owner !

A great Easter, wake up Sunday to another sweet episode.. How AWESOME is that barwork from RASLARR...AM DEFO getting ALL that exact same barwork for both the GUs in the near future, it fits and lines up so perfect!! Great work Raslarr for the awesome engineering! 👍👍👍 Will be also going for the same new Superior Engineering shocks, the stance of the GU is perfect! A mate has same for his, he turns them up to 10 so they are hard when on the highway, once pulls off-road, turns them all down to be soft for the rough terrain. Brilliant!! 👍👍👍 Great to see that JRP doing quality gauges to give Redarc a run for their money AND at a way more fairer price! Buying some of these too!! Onya JRP!! 👍👍👍 btw, The GU Patrols were built and geared for having fitted 33inch tyres as standard, I found this out when was working at the Nissan HQ in 2008..The reason why they are fitted with road 31s at the factory for 'Australia' was because of the price and that Nissan had a special contract with Bridgestone to fit 31s ATs to all Patrols and Navaras, also that the majority of purchasers in 'Australia' will upgrade their wheels asap so Nissan went ahead and installed the cheapest smallest tyres to suit which at that time were the Bridgestone Duler ATs.. This is the reason why with standard size 31s, they rev their box off (3000rpm) at 110kph, instead of the more approriate 2100rpm with 33s...which furthermore is closer to the diesels max torque range, so as to also tow better...(also same reason why the Speedo is only 2% out with 33s...compared to the 12% when fitted with standard 31s) No show of rear bar lights?🤔 Drill press $99.00 Supacheap!🤔 Micro influencer!..haha! 😁 Why does Demi have 2 x tow points in her nose?? Shouldn't she swap one so to be a Recovery point??😁 Where's Shauno???? 🤔
@TylerThompson907 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching mate, appreciate it! Pretty stoked with how it all came together. Yeah 33's are a much better standard tyre size for the patrols, 31's are tiny on them

Are beadlock rims legal for public road use in NSW so long as the vehicle is engineered?
@jamesbevan76118 ай бұрын
No
@fatmanoverlanding8 ай бұрын
Good question. It would be good to know. As I too thought bead-locks where illegal for public road use in NSW.
@ianweal30818 ай бұрын
"Savage", the GWM guys in Oz have begun utilising a form of beadlock rims they claim are legal in Oz. Instead of the tyre being clamped by outer rim being clamped against tyre (by multiply bolts) the tyre fits onto a solid rim, but that rim has multiple threaded holes aligning with tyre inner edge that you place bolts with "0" rings in, and they clamp against the inside edge of the tyre, then seal with the "0" ring becoming airtight. They are a totally different concept, legal supposedly.
@jacksonwelch98708 ай бұрын
No beadlocks are not legal You can get “hybrid” rims that have both standard lips and beadlock rings They’re legal as long as you’re not using the beadlock ring of the rim and the bonus is they are DOT approved so theyre legal and can be engineered BUT you still cannot run the beadlock ring on them
@ianweal30818 ай бұрын
@@jacksonwelch9870 research the ones "Savage" are using. As I described, there is no locking ring, it is a solid rim that's got bolts that screw thru the rim securing on inner tyre bead. They're utilising them stating they are 100% legal.

Suprised that the SE 2.5 shocks do not have braided hoses Factory oil gauge only measures level, not pressure. 2 most important gauges in a vehicle are oil pressure & coolant temperature (not a criticism, just my opinion) I'm curious. You have the GQ which is clearly your favourite. You have the GU you basically gave to Dem as the tourer. & now Dem has the 80. So what is the plan for the GU? Give it to dad to replace the MUX? Keep for Kai when he gets his licence, if he's still interested in 4wding?

I have 4 motorcycles @@Jacobtheunwise . One for touring, one for cruising, one for racing. & for motocross. & one 80 series. But I don't see a reason for a couple to have three cars that are basically for the same purpose. @TylerThompson907 ай бұрын
GQ is for all the extreme 4wding, GU is a 'tough tourer' and Demi will drive it when we are going wheeling, and the 80 is just a mall crawler/beach car/light touring. Building cars and creating content is my full time Job so going to end up with more then I 'need'
