Wooo! This is becoming one of my top Babymetal songs. I love EDM/House and Metal, and this song mashes them so well. 👌👌🤘🦊

good reaction Ty-Metal, Metalizumu zumu zumu give it a few more listens and it will stick in your head for awhile...lol, Su confirmed herself that this song has Arabian vibes and if you look at the lyrics, it mentions the King of the Metal Kingdom.

Nice one👊🏽⚡️This song is like a cross between ‘Shanti shanti shanti’ and ‘From dusk till dawn’. A huge strength of Babymetal is that they keep you guessing🦊🤘🏾

"METALIZMIZUMIZUMU" - great song - Middle Eastern/Egyptian/Arabian (or similar) psy-trance metal at its best.🤘🦊🤘 This was the song that intrigued me most and that I was looking forward to more than any of the others when they were releasing the short teasers in advance of the album. I was not disappointed, I love it. BABYMETAL songs make time move faster so they seem to finish before you expect - and in this instance you seemed to be trying to work out what all the individual sounds were so I don't think you really heard what was happening until after the second verse. It was like you only really heard the last part of the song and then it was over so you got that impression it was just an interlude. I think you need to listen again to appreciate just how good this was - you were anticipating something else so it took you by surprise and you didn't take it all in (like you didn't hear just how good Su's vocals were until the second verse, almost like you hadn't heard the first verse at all) - and then you stopped and talked quite a bit and maybe lost the flow a bit. Either way, it will grow on you.

Good one, thanks! "METALIZM" is not an easy one. It may take some time but it grows on you. It shows perfectly how good (and unpredictable) team BABYMETAL is at composing. The thing is that many said they were going the "safe way" when the first singles of The Other ONE first came out, and they were kinda right... and then they dropped this mind-blowing song. Because everything about it is unusual, unexpected or "fooling": the use of that particular minor harmonic scale (giving the song its Middle Eastern flavor), the lack of an actual chorus, replaced by two guitar solos, the onomatopoeic use of the tittle in the lyrics... Yes, this is different from... well, everything else. I was lucky enough to experience this song live in concert last May in Berlin and I have to say that the song kicks ass and the guitar solos are so freaking amazing. I believe that's the proper technical terminology. 🤣 They even changed the arrangement for the first guitar solo on the live version probably to match the choreo. Until next time! 🤘🦊

Good reaction! Metalizm is the most unique song of the concept album

I watched this song so many times from different reactor channels, this time, I felt something different. As many other fans commented, Metalism is a song with middle East in particular arabic influences and I agree with them. However, I felt Su is singing in a Pyramid this time. Babymetal adopted arabic influences for the song and made them reborned as a Pharaoh and the worriors in a Pyramid. Babymetal always has elements like death, reborn, divinity, king and kingdom. I kinda know a bit what Kobametal trying to do here now.😅

Su has, in her own words “powered up” vocally recently. It’s obvious on The Other One & especially the ongoing tour where she is hardly missing a note. She has always been a very accurate singer but she’s absolutely not one for sitting back, she’s always pushing herself and we are the beneficiaries. She & they are amazing. This song if listened to as intended, ie without pausing, hits much harder & better.

Huh! That was a strange reaction. You looked so confused the whole song, not what I expected tbh, especially since Metalizm is my favorite song from The Other One.

👍 👍 I have said this so many times but here I go again...I wish the Babymetal PTB would scrub the insipid overproduced MV releases that have studio audio over LIVE footage because Suzuka's LIVE vocals and the Kami instrumentals are so far above recorded. Anyone watching Babymetal for the first time from the MV's would come away with a less than impressed view of Suzuka's abilities thinking she always use polished effects.

Metalizm was, for me, I think the only BM song (besides BBAB, which they don't even feature so it's like you have permission from the band to dislike) that I had a visceral "yuck" reaction to, the first time I heard it. However, now I have grown to think of it as a mid-tier BM song, and the guitar solo is perhaps my favorite in their entire canon. All that to say, it is a song that has to grow on a person, imo.

I think it's a first sinf which is boring to see, but good to listen. It's not a performans track, it's totaly difirent. I like this song, but I don't like live. Metalizm not for live, it's for techno party!

To be honest, I don't really like the live mix on this DVD. It sounds empty and not well done. The earlier version was much better. Many people say this is their favorite song on the album. I love this song too. I don't know if it is a technical problem.
@jeremyboynowski3784 Жыл бұрын
To be honest, I think this is my least favorite song of the album. That being said, I don't hate it, but I don't get overly excited over it like a lot of other Babymetal fans do. I feel like this is one of their songs where half the fanbase loves and the other half are less excited about.

Far more than half love it from what I’ve seen. If anything it’s split closer to 60-40 on the love/hate.

@@emanymton713 well, wasn't really giving a scientific number. Was mostly saying THIS is that song in their album that has the most mixed feelings. Just like BxMxC was with their other album.

@@jeremyboynowski3784 yeah I’m not claiming exact numbers myself either just that I’ve not seen the dislikes you claim
@jeremyboynowski3784 Жыл бұрын
@@emanymton713Maybe I worded things incorrectly. Just to clarify, I'm not saying they dislike the song. It's more it's their least favorite song off the album. If I said dislike, then I worded it poorly. Too lazy to look. That being said, it does sound much better live, but still my least favorite song off the album, which is ironic considering I love Shanti Shanti a lot and that is probably the closest thing to Metalizm in my mind.
