So i have one, and i love curly curls but i am having a little trouble with getting them tight. My hair is really long. So keeping your iron horizontal makes te curles curly and tight?

Hello Talitha! If you are wanting tight curls then you want to go slow with a vertical angle for the iron (up and down)! (:

No matter how many times I’ve tried and done every possible position, my hair will not curl with this iron.

Ive had my Tyme iron for prob 3 years and I have never, not one time gotten anything remotely close to a curl or beach wave with it. Ive watched so many tutorials, I’ve tried countless times, and it never works It either straightens my hair, leaves a weird crimp, or gives a pathetic slight wave at the very end of the section. I’m following the guidelines, doing everything right and It. Does. Not. Work. On top of that, it smokes so much that I’m terrified that I’m burning my hair. I’m so frustrated because this thing was not cheap. I have a lot of long , somewhat fine hair that is resistant to curl so this iron is just not made for my hair type I guess. I’m this close to listing it on eBay.

You’re not curling it correctly. There’s no need to twist your hair with your fingers
