Please, Longer matches were wayyy better. Not saying this is bad but longer matches had more character development to get us more engaged. I really wish for longer matches so do i think others too.

On the last solve Leo had F2L in 2.78! I think that Leo doesn't control his nerves, which also happened in semis at worlds.

been watching cubing for a few years now (prolly like 5-ish). And the evolution is crazy. 5 years ago sub 6 was pretty good, and would win you matches. 2-3 years ago sub 6 was a necessity, and a sub 5 was really really good. Now you practically need a sub 5 or a very very low 5 to have a chance. Amazing how these cubers have lift each other up to crazy levels

Tymon’s ZBLL might be better than I thought! Because Yiheng inspects all of F2L (1-look), then 1-look for OLL, and 1-look for PLL. Tymon could reduce the mental load by inspecting up to only F2L-1 (1-look), then 1-look for ZBLS, and 1-look for ZBLL. Of course, these amounts of algs require SO much upkeep, but in theory, it makes inspection much easier, meaning that you can achieve Yiheng’s proficiency in one-looking all the way up to the 1st algorithm part of the solve (either OLL or ZBLS). Plus! - ZBLL reduces the movecount of CFOP solves (which can bridge the gap between Yiheng’s TPS and Tymon’s TPS). - If you get a Sune case, then you could do 1-look 2 algs for last layer (Sune + predicted PLL). - And inspection, you’d just need to plan an Xcross, then predict/see where the next 2 pairs will be and recognise/formulate a multislotting case for them in inspection, and boom! F2L-1 in 1-look from inspection. Then ZBLS + ZBLL. Whereas Yiheng has to do ALL of F2L in 1-look from inspection. But! - OLL + PLL is so much easier recognition, and doesn’t require the upkeep of ZBLL. - 1-looking/planning all of F2L or F2L-1 is based on skill and proficiency, and so it takes a lot more time to get better at. It’s not like regular F2L where it’s an algorithm, but rather its skill. But since it’s a skill, you can exponentially get better at it, whereas with an F2L alg, your fingers can only do the alg so fast y’know.

I'm sorry but I really dislike the new format. Only one set??? I'm sure there are reasons but I just really want to see more solving in these early rounds. Imo only one set isnt really indicative of who is the better cuber.

Pls make longer matches, because it is not necesarry to only make 1 set to determine who comes in the 2nd round. Those solves can be very random and it would even be unlikely that the best ones advance to the play offs. So pls make at least 5 sets for the first matches, 7 for the playoffs and 9 for the finals. Because that just doesn't make sense.

I really did prefer when the monkey league matches were about 40 to 50minutes long. During the first season, it made things very interesting by keeping us hooked for a very long period of time. Felt a lot more intense. these don’t feel like I’m watching anything special
