Tyne and Wear Metro The Musical

On the 11th August 1980, The Tyne and Wear Metro started to operate trains in the North East of England. This film has been performed by people who use or work on the Tyne and Wear Metro, to Celebrate it's 30th Anniversary.

The American socialist online magazine "Jacobin" led me here. The idea of a community of working people celebrating their subway (American phrase) was what prompted its inclusion as a special feature. I loved every minute of it. Power to the people!!

@ModernRailways Thanks, I am lost at some of it however I think it is a lovely idea and I love it where they are all singing together on the train, at gateshead at the end and the brass band playing in the scrap yard as thats a very rare occasion!
