Shouldn’t they be shut off anyway while driving ? If so then they already will be for refilling

Are you filling up the tank for the vehicle to run or the calor gas for the appliances?

On a motorhome the LPG is used for Heating/hot water, Fridge and cooking.

In Germany they use different adapters , also eastern europe is different too ... currently the pries for liter in Bulgaria is 60 eurocents

Does the gas bottles have to be opened first or does it fill automatically?

It fills automatically and will stop filling once full.

When its full it won't take anymore and the display on the forecourt pump will not go up.

In all other countries the adaptor is different and much easy to use ... I hate this " bayonet" 😅
