For the past 9 days, I have been following the "Carnivore Diet". I'm not FULL ON carnivore, but I have been eating 90% meat (beef, chicken, turkey, eggs, etc.) Listen in to hear how it's going.... Do I recommend it or not? Is it safe for diabetes?! Tune in now!

@@bl00m1mgt0n i know it seems odd, but apparently my diet of eggs and meat is sufficient. In the last year I have had zero supplements, zero plants, zero fibre. My 50yrs of ibs, gastric reflux, bloating, abdominal pain and diarrhoea disappeared in week 2. My gut health normalised completely. My t2 diabetes reversed by week 3. My arthritis went away. My cardiovascular disease reversed (by eating exclusively saturated fat and meat!), to the point where my recent calcium score returned as zero, none detected. Im med free now, and even my testosterone is through the roof. Truly transformative.

Carnivore cured my Type 2. My insulin levels are now low normal. It's cured or put into remission many other things. I'm pretty much now a lifelong carnivore. Once I'm down to my goal weight, I might have a cheat treat very rarely, but I don't plan on being a plant eater or sugar eater ever again.

I found your video and channel while searching KZbin. Type one diabetes for 54 years at 69 years old. You didn’t really try the carnivore diet! You added so many other foods! There’s so much I want to say! I love the carnivore diet! I never want to eat any other way. I eat Beef, butter, bacon and eggs. I love it. It’s delicious and fun! Also if you are eating 3 meals without taking insulin, then you are definitely taking too much basal insulin! On you dose of basal insulin you should be able to fast all day and not go low. I eat protein and fat at every meal, with no plant foods and I need to take insulin first every meal. But if I want to skip a meal, I can because my basal is low. I also coach type one and type 2 diabetics who want to do the carnivore diet. There are lots of us. We even have a large Facebook group Type one diabetic carnivores.

I’m type 1. I’ve been doing carnivore for a long time. A1c 4.8. No lows no highs. Wasn’t possible when I wasn’t on Carnivore even when I was doing keto. Carnivore is definitely sustainable and the best way to manage type 1 diabetes. I dare say it could potentially prevent it as well.

I'm so glad you've found something that's working so well for you! I'm not a Type I, but to me, finding a way to control my blood sugar to that degree is nothing short of thrilling. Don''t listen to naysayers-- so many people thrive eating this way and the more people learn, the more accepted it will become. The foods you're eating are highly nutritious (the nutrients found in animal products are greatly underestimated) and anything that gives you that kind of control over your insulin needs and glucose levels is a win. I can see the joy on your face and I know exactly how that feels! By the way, have you ever tried Egglife wraps as a replacement for regular corn or flour tortillas? I personally can't do tortillas in a Mexican restaurant or my sugar jacks up like crazy, so I'll use a couple of those and save some carbs for a few chips and salsa. The wraps are sturdy and don't have any weird taste-- they're very mild even in the different flavors and they make Mexican meals much more fun for me than eating my fajitas with a fork. 😁 I just found your channel a couple of weeks ago and I'm really enjoying your videos! Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing it all with us!

Like an addict saying maybe they can only do drugs 5 days a week. Don't tell people it's not sustainable bc you aren't ready to come to terms with the fact that eventually you are going to have to take more and more insulin and you are going to start having all the symptoms of a much worse diabetic, but you could of staved it off while you were still young by giving up poison that is called food. I hope this reality hits you while there is still time.

Well done! I have a question. I'm type 1 diabetic. Sometimes I take slightly too much insulin for a steak and go hypo as it's hard to judge how much is needed. Then I take a few dextrose tablets to bring my sugar level back up. Do the sugar tablets ruin the effect of the otherwise carnivore diet for that day?
@jenny395791
@jenny395791 4 ай бұрын
I was doing a similar thing to you, and unfortunately, adding dextrose tablets in to my diet was lowering my nutritional ketosis and causing spikes in blood sugar. So rather than taking mealtime insulin with my meat, I started a "watch & wait" approach on my blood sugars and taking correction doses of insulin instead. Adding butter to steak and other protein also helps me too. I hope this is useful for you.

You need to realize - with 50% effort you can not expect 100% result. BTW, Use electrolytes instead of lemon. As for fibre, you don’t need it. It only takes Some time for your metabolism to adapt to carnivore. Do not skimp on quality fat. Residual fat is not the same as fat in the meat

Pre diagnosis you lost weight most of which was probably lean muscle mass. Going on a calorie restriction diet of any kind even for a few months could do a lot of harm to your longevity because of muscle loss. After adolescence gaining back lost muscle takes years. Good control is required not perfect non D Blood Sugar. Please take care and good luck to you.
