Amazing video, this is exactly what i was looking for. There is no metadata for zero bikes like the fx, fxs/fxe. If I could tell you how long I've been looking for this... such a great compact video. Even answered my question about just charging my phone with the hairdryer bit. Wish you added a donation button, first time I've gone to look for it.

One of the recent Australian cable owners here. Just wanted to say thanks and the cable it works perfectly on my 2020 TC max. As I have a permanent leg injury I find it difficult to reverse my bike. I was hoping you would know which wires were for reverse on the controller? Thanks again and great job with the channel.

Thanks for buying a cable. pleased to hear it reached you safely. I've got a wiring diagram somewhere for the controller. Other features are not wired like the regen though. So you'd have to add a pin to the connector. Which isn't easy as the whole plug is covered in glue. You may well damage the wiring just accessing the back of the plug.

A simple and very sensible idea to support longer range riding. Assuming this will work with any Super Soco bike, do you know if this impacts on warranty? Just curious to know if there is a response/reaction from Vmoto/Super Soco..?

Thanks for the video, so can you use this adapter with any Type 2 public charging station, with different number of kW? as you mention it can do upto 3kw does that mean a public charge station has to be upto 3kw also? some chargers here in Aus are upto 22kw ..

Yes any type 2 charger. If you look closely in the video it's a 7kw charger. That's just the limit.

Hi mate, great vid. I’m very much a noobie with ev charging and just trying to work out how to use them using this handy adapter, I’ve got a 22 plate super soco max and trying to figure out what ev chargers I can use - got an app to show location of chargers but not sure which I can use. Do you know what options I should select on the App from this list? DC - Tesla CCS combo, Tesla type 2, Chademo. AC - Type 2 mennekes, Type 1 tatami, Tesla type 2 commando. Would be eternally grateful for your help.

Love your videos, i just got a TC Max in October to use on my commute in the upcoming months and have been fretting over what I'll do for charging if I don't make it both ways. Could you comment on whether it's possible to secure the stock charger onto the bike in a safe way, like on top of or under the pillion? If i can keep a bag off my back I'd prefer it.

There isn't much space on the TC Max. You could get a bungee net and see if you can secure it to the seat behind you. I prefer to use a backpack.

Hello mate. Thinking about doing the same with my ebike, ill prob use the tesco pod points too but be nice to use others. Any thoughts on getting the variant with the two switches on to top from the supplier you linked to? Have you ever been unable intiate start? Or had trouble removing after charging? (Though the latter can be mitigated by filing out the i believe) Oh and what charger is that you are using :) thanks

The one without buttons doesn't lock. It worked with the two providers I've tried.

May I ask if purchasing this adaptor plus the 84v 12A fast charger, and then plug into the public charge station can solve my range problem? Thank you very much.

Hi, yes you should be able to use any charger with the adapter. It's really easy to use.

@@leohclau The battery is intended to be charged at 10 amps. You may get away with 12 though. Try it and see if it works.

The output charger to travel light is a good idea, could you please make a video about it? I am considering the use two batteries in series to get 120V instead of 60V, to raise the top speed with a good Kelly or Fardriver controller. Any idea what would be the best solution to connect to public Type 2 sockets, what kind of charger would be best? Great video, as always.

@thecapacitator8137 So in theory this should work with any type 2 charging station irrespective of the kw output, as you'll only be drawing the amount required for your specific charger. For example you could plug into a 54kw port but only pull 500 watts or whatever your charger requires. Ive just purchased a lexmoto cypher which comes with a 3 pin charger so hoping to extend the range using the adapter

Yes that's right. It's exactly the same as plugging in at home. You can boil a kettle or charge a phone from the same socket.

How did you disconnected the adapter from the pod point (because there is no stop button on charger and in the app) ? I was thinking about getting that adapter for charging my EUC, but I was concerned about the lack of “off switch” on it.

The adapter doesn't lock into the charger. You can just unplug it.

I've just bought a adapter from ebay and it has cut in locking notches but i noticed your one doesn't and in the video on your made up cable you cut the locking notches out. Do I need to do this on my adapter to stop it being locked in as it doesn't have a kill switch
