This gameplay video is the closest westerners will get to see the Remake Ciel vs Arcueid fight. 2:31-2:41 This entire combo from Red Arc was just 😩👌🏽. And the way she ended it too! Love how Ciel after winning is like "I won, but I don't like it. This ain't gonna stop me getting my victory curry though!"

Bounce Bonus is already in the game. On your first groundbounce in a combo, the hitstun is extended to allow for further extensions. You can notice this currently by doing combos with Vlov 6C; the first one you do allows for full extensions with a delay, but doing it more than once pops the opponent out much faster. It just doesn’t have a visual flair right now.

AT being the only meterless air combo ender is part of the balancing, to limit characters' ability to both maximize their damage and get oki setups. if you want a mixup on oki, either cut your combo way short and use a hard knockdown move while you're still grounded and the untech time is short, or spend meter in your aircombo to get your hard knockdown with extra frame advantage for your setup. if it wasn't like this the game would be super biased towards setplay

Depending on the character, there are other ways you could end a combo without meter, like WArc's aerial 2B and Shiki's 236A/B

@@amare7430 Except this wasn't an issue in old melty where f-pciel could choose between 2C > 236A > run up for great corner carry or 2C > 3C > AT > j236AA for worse frame advantage but being closer to the opponent on their wakeup. It wasn't an issue in UNI either where most characters could choose between damage, corner carry, sideswap or better oki without having to dump meter into the ender but still being able to if you wish to.

@@Flow764 you can still get sideswaps, corner carry or improved damage using regular routing though? especially if you use moon skills. i can't speak on uni since i have 0 knowledge or experience of that game, but that is an entirely separate franchise with a different balancing philosophy and set of priorities. thats like me saying melty blood should have f1 grabs because they're in ACPR, you can't just ignore the balancing context for the game. you can influence all of those things (except oki, for the most part) w/o resources, but also spending resources on them is not only hella cheap but also generally optimal anyway

MBTL doesn't play exactly the same as old Melty, but if you're interested in trying out Melty in general you should check out the community edition for MBAACC and get a feel for it! If you're familiar with anime fighters I think you'll get the hang of it. I think since the roster is getting larger for Type Lumina and the DLC characters are free its more worth the purchase now than at launch.

I will say it here like i did on twitter, Fix your game!!! There are many times where me and other players i play with online where the game would disconnect online lobbies or the game will straight up crash. I have the same problems on xbox, pc and switch(exception for switch crashing). Due to these issues i have seen lots of groups i was in that straight up left the game due to these issues. I love melty blood to play but fix your damn game.

What do you mean exactly? I'm a new player (controller), suck at FGs in general, and Type Lumina was really easy to get in. There are no super crazy inputs whatsoever, the hardest input so far (if you're coming from MK or something) is your standard quarter circle. Mechanics are streamlined enough, and nowhere near the complexity of Guilty Gear which is a good thing in my book (for newcomers ofc).

@@philippbochkov9787 I’m trying to see what’s hard about Type Lumina as well. Outside of shield and moon drive being the most annoying mechanics, the controls are rather simplistic. A lot of newer fighting game players can get into Type Lumina rather quickly. And the game even gives you a pretty solid tutorial as well.
