So the ancients from Stargate/atlantis. Some were able to "ascend" to a higher plane as pur energy, they had fully colonized 2 galaxies and fought a two front war where on both fronts the enemy outnumbered them 100:1 (one of those fronts was a splinter group who recruited...forcefully...from other races.) And the other race had cloning facility powered by a stolen energy source from the ancients or as one of our scientists in the show said ( galaxy in a bottle)

Stargate atlantis and stargate sg1 series...the third series stargate universe isnt worth watching. It sucked...shame the stargate franchise was cancelled. 15 seasons...well 17 if you count stargate universe as well as 3 decent movies of us humans exploring the galaxy(s) meeting aliens and in some cases kicking their ass and becoming the top dog in not just our galaxy but the pegasus galaxy as well.
