Theres 3 stages. For stage 1, get 13 raid wins. Stage 2 requires you to get 1 boss kill (Bawa snake or Soul Society boss), 50 hollow kills and 10 Elite Grips (quincies or arrancars) all in one life. Stage 2.5 requires you to talk to Kisuke in Karakura to find your Zanpakuto (you have to find 3 of the correct swords) Stage 3 requires you to meditate to go to your inner world, but this time you will be fighting your bankai. Once you defeat it, talk to it, then you will have bankai. Bankai has a 30 minute cooldown after being used.
