Tbh as a medic main on Sr, I gotta say if they gave medic more attack skills it'd put up a better fight rather then relying on partial, schrift, or shikai to do majority of the dmg. I mainly attempt to M1 the entire time but the best weapons for medics for each race has to be. Ulqs katana, Barragan Longsword, katana Cutlass, Quigle.

parry is much more prediction based rather than windup based, dont try to parry as something hits you, parry during its windup.

try roll for twinblade so your bankai's crit is a counter (just hold block wait for him the counter flashstep back then use your normal katana crit) might not do it first try but it makes it alot easier

Its cuz of Horizon, it procs the same thing split gate would, if you land vertical first you get the cutscene, if you do it the other way around you get what you are referring to rn
