As A girl who also Suffers from Depression (I also don't smoke.) I either spend most of my doing things I like to make me feel better or you the Unhealthy way (Pretending to be happy outside while my Mental health is slowly going bye bye.) Once at new campus i dressed for the ball and when I was there, there were two girls, each calling each other bestie/girlie. They both were roleplaying and were saying things like "walks like a baddie into the ball". Then suddenly they came up to me and said "hey you!" and I was like "Me?" because I don't socialise much and I didnt know them. At the time I was wearing the royal stroll in the garden skirt and i wore it black. The first girl said that I stole her style even though I had never met or seen her before and her bestie yelled at me and they both roasted me hard for "stealing the first girls outfit" and that I should "get lost". Almost everyone in the server were telling them to stop and some were confused. When they say “has depression/anxiety” it’s extremely triggering to people like me who have anxiety or depression. I have anxiety and depression. To see people using that along with self harm and suicidal thoughts is just pathetic. I see girls with “suicidal thoughts” jumping off balconies because their “crush” doesn’t return their feelings. These people don’t even think about how this will make a person who has suicidal thoughts, depression, anxiety, someone who struggles with self harm, or even someone who lost a loved one to suicide feel. If you are one of these people that use this as a trend please block me. We lose so many people to suicide every year. So many people are struggling with these things. I can’t help that I have anxiety and depression. Using this as a trend is no better than bullying. I can assure you that people who have any of these don’t go around flaunting it. Don’t make fun of people for what they like. I saw a girl in royale high getting made fun of by a “bad girl” for liking anime. Before I was diagnosed I used anime as somewhat of a coping mechanism. I could go on and make fun of that girl for being a “bad girl” when her avatar is wearing the free hair, free face, and free clothes, but I won’t. Think about how others feel. You can hurt someone so bad by doing any of these things. Illnesses that people can’t help are NOT fake. Saying that one of your parents is “abusive” shouldn’t be used as a trend either. Abusive parents are NOT a joke. Just because you don’t know the pain that people go through daily doesn’t mean you get the right to pretend you do. Do you know how many people wish they didn’t struggle with depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, and self harm there are out there? If I were you, I would just be thankful that I don’t have any of these. To any of the people who use these as trend, think about how much pain people with any of these go through on a daily basis, and be happy you don’t have to.
