If a carbon have 2 sigma bonds it will have SP2 hybridization. for ex in ethylene CH2=CH- CH carbon have 2 sigma bonds( double bond has 1 sigma and 1 pi bond & other sigma bond is the bond which is going to attach to some other element or compound) so it has SP2 hybridization

sorry for this if I said wrong. Finally I cleared, group attached to sp3 carbon after sp2 carbon it will called allyl, while group attached to direct sp2 carbon it will called vinyl.
