Ans 01 - Non-tax revenue is the recurring income that is earned from sources other than taxes by the government. They are the revenue receipts that are not generated by taxing the public. Some of the major sources of non-tax revenue are mentioned below: 1. Interests 2. Power supply fees 3. Other fees 4. License fee 5. Fines and penalties 6. Escheats 7. Forfeitures 8. Fee for communication services Ans 02 - Effective Revenue Deficit is the difference between revenue deficit and grants for the creation of capital assets. The concept of effective revenue deficit has been suggested by the Rangarajan Committee on Public Expenditure.
