Nothing like signing up 18 year olds fresh out of highschool for indentured servitude and act like you’re doing them a favor calling it student aid.

When you hear the phrase "at least minimum wage" you should probably question the world you're jumping into.
@Duckintree10 жыл бұрын
at least means bare minimum.. so that's saying at bare minimum you'll get min. wage. if it said at most min. wage that means the highest you'll get paid is min. wage.

Right! I applied for a loan to go to this technical school cost 10,000 at the time. Recently found out that went up to 15,000 ... what a bummer they are getting rich

Now that I'm 29 and finally going to school, I'm glad I waited and can now actually manage my money since I've been working since 16. This system absolutely puts people with less life experience at a significant disadvantage. After highschool, running a business or doing laborious freelance work never seemed to me an accessible way of making better money.

How do you apply for Grant's (for personal reasons) that doesn't have to be paid back instead of federal student loans that does? The interest rates are ridiculous on federal loans:() would be nice if the government can help with expenses to keep a person from having to drop out of school...

I took out student loans thirty years ago to beome a nurse. Even though I never finished the degree because i got married had a family and life happened. I ended up becoming an LPN which is a good career but was never able to pay back the loan that was only 12000 but with interest now is 40000! I want to return but have the student loan hanging over my head. If you take out a loan make sure that you can pay it back. Overall, it helped me at the time because i was able to use the loans for living expenses while attending to get my LPN.

Thank God my Daughter got a scholarship that covers 80%! WTH are colleges thinking. We saved for her college but now I can leave the money invested till she finishes and pay her loan off in one payment and give her the rest for a house to buy. Every parent should HAVE TO take a 1 hour class on saving money for college when their kids are young. Even if they don't even go to college.
