Thanks for making this video! I realize it was done 4 years ago, but just want to add some comments to educate viewers. An NG tube is a term describing the insertion and location of the tube, not the name of the tube itself. The thin yellow tube is often called a Dobhoff tube, which is the specific brand name, but generically called small-bore weighted tip with stylet (it has a guide wire or stylet used to place the tube, which helps because it is too flexible without it). A Salem Sump tube is another type of NG tube. Anyway, I just felt the need to say that to clarify. Happy studying everyone!

I am not clear on the long blue tube that is on the side of the Salem Sump, at my previous work we always had an anti- reflux valve plugged on that blue tube (blue side of the white -blue valve) while pt is on suction. Recently a young doctor got upset and wants that cap out saying it is to let air out.( pt had Lap. Explor)
