FINALLY, someone finally explains the correct way to use the straps. every video i've found only explains the "donning method" but doesn't explain the correct way to strap your gas mask to your face. what good is the donning method if your straps are too loose or so tight that your chin is poking out the bottom?

Now I know it’s unlikely you,ll see this but the other day I received a Avon fm12 from 2004 that’s a dual port I love the mask and I am quite new to these types of things but while I was wearing and testing the seal note this was three days after I received the mask I noticed that when I exhale the mask had a noticeable noise made like when I exhaled the I could feel the valve open and then when I in haled like I could feel the valve close kinda the same type of feeling is this normal or just me being weird or is this the valve failing note a couple hours after I got the mask I cleaned it and used the procedure you recommend

Great video, glad you're back in gas masks, if I may ask you, I just got myself a M2 Yugoslav Serbian gas mask, the filter and the gas mask model is not old as it is the M2 not the M1, i'm pretty sure you reviewed it, this gas mask is NATO STANAG 40mm filter and the one that comes with it doesn't contain abestos right? It should be safe to use as far as I am aware, my father used it for hours for army trainings with the original filter, and since you're a professional can you tell me weather the original M2 40mm filter is safe?

Pretty sure the Yugo/Serbian M2 filters are safe, the mask is 40mm NATO, as basically Yugoslavia only bought/copied western masks rather than the Soviet designs.

The problem with helmet style masks is you need a mask in your exact size, also can't have modular insides as much.
