I have just written the Top-down approach i.e. forming nanoparticles from the bulk. There are also other methods of Nanoparticle formation like Bottom up approach. These methods will be discussed in the upcoming videos.

Particle having size lesser then 100nm are also called nanoparticles and secondly it can also form from bottom up approach that is commonly used in laboratory, top down approach that you have discussed is very defective method that form very un parallel and undesired size of NPs and can be used in industries!

All these techniques (sol gel, hydrothermal etc) come under the section of bottom up approach to synthesize NPs while the approach described by you is top down which contain totally different techniques generally based upon physical tension parameters like mechanical milling, laser ablation, sputtering etc.

Yes brother You are exactly right, For top down we use Physical methods like ball miling or attritor mill etc. to break the bulk into small particles. Recently i synthesized Fe2O3 in my lab, using Green synthesis in a bottom up approach.
