Tender means attempt to perform the contractual obligation. For eg, i have taken a loan 6 mnths ago and today I have to repay you the principal + interest amount. I came to your house to repay you. But you denied to accept the amount. Later on you cannot held me responsible for delay in payment. But I attempted to perform my contractual obligation. Hope it clears.
