It is kinda triggering to see how many people says that 1:13 the sandstone fell on the pressure plate thus activating it... The TRUTH is, Stone Pressure Plate can NOT be activated by an item dropped on top of it, it only reacts to mobs or players. This is like one of the more common knowledge anyone can come across why does people still thinks it was the sandstone's fault...

Only wooden pressure plates can be activated by all entities. Stone pressure plates can only be activated by mobs, including players. Iron and gold pressure plates depend on the quantity and weight of entities.

1:17 I you go an analyze this clip frame by frame (press < > while video is paused), you can see how the pressure plate reappears for a split second despite the fact he had mined it, thus confusing the game thinking the pressure plate was still there and igniting the TNT. All of this can be blamed on the internal server desync issue. The bugged water/lava buckets are also caused by the same issue - the internal server desync. If someone doesn't know, Minecraft, since 1.3.1, always runs your game (yes, even on singleplayer) on an internal private server. This change was made so both singleplayer and multiplayer don't require different code bases, and also allowed mods to be compatible for both SP and MP. (I might be wrong, it's very technical stuff.) Essentially, you actually don't play your world like any other singleplayer game. You "join" your singleplayer world as the game hosts it like a server, except it's just for one player (you). This is why you have ping even on singleplayer (visible on F3), and this is why Minecraft singleplayer is plagued with various desync issues, previously only being encountered on multiplayer. (buckets glitching, slower/inconsistent chunk loading, mobs stuttering on slower machines, ghost blocks, hit lag, etc...). You can even be kicked from your "singleplayer" if you spam the commands too much, or if the game things you shouldn't be flying - kick for "flying", just like on multiplayer.
