we have a quail here in the philipines they only have tree fingers unlike this quail they all have four fingers..

I believe you are referring to Hemipodes (Hemipodes meaning half foot, referring to them having three toes, lacking the forth at the back). Hemipodes are wrongly called in common name as Button "quails" there not quails. Personally i call the birds in the Hemipodes kin in common name, Ground creepers. Ground creepers are more related to the wading bird kin, than to quails that are in the land fowl kin.
