THANK YOU for saying I don’t need to love every inch of my body. I’m not gonna hate it, but it’s totally okay if I don’t love it. That’s a healthy and achievable goal for me. Thanks!
@Andy-ne5qi10 ай бұрын
I think we need to promote body neutrality instead of body positivity in some cases because sometimes loving our imperfections isnt necessary as long as we appreciate our bodies for whay they do. I don't need anyone telling me that my stretch marks are "tiger stripes" or my surgery scars are beautiful... I just want to accept them and maybe try to minimize how they look.
@agentsarahjane9 ай бұрын
I agree for most part but I think if someone wants to call them battle scars or whatever that's fine if it gets them out of the house and living their best life. But totally yes on the neutral part, fix what you can, enjoy what you can, and be kind to yourself about the rest. Bodies are weird, gross and cool - and it's okay.
@KinniMoo9 ай бұрын
Yeah, loving can be a strong word since everyone has imperfections or just something about they hate even if no one else would ever notice it. I am not sure neutrality exactly works either since it would require reprogramming our brains. I have body positivity even with my scars, not to mention that I am an extra fluffy girl (dr idress can we work on getting some expanded sizes in the merch please ❤️❤️). My body positivity doesn’t come from anyone else accepting me, I accept myself! Looking to others is just asking for trouble. That being said, you make a valid point and the outlook that works best for you is the one you should use!!
@umhi97788 ай бұрын
Yeah no one should feel bad about how they look but not every feature needs to be romanticized and seen as particularly aesthetic.
@umhi97788 ай бұрын
@@KinniMooI don't think it should be that way though. No one needs to feel bad about how they look for any reason and we should work on feeling ok with all of our body. There's no need to live with unnecessary shame and hatred. All of us, and every part of us is beautiful and ok.
@hellequinm8 ай бұрын
It all comes down to the reason for those scars. I almost died twice from acute appendix and a big infection I developed right after. In total I have 12 scars on my upper body, from down beneath my bely to close to my stomach, one of those with 20cm... One of the smaller is hypertrophic like from the video. But I'm honestly not ashamed, nor feel like I want them to be gone... it was a very difficult time and my body battled so hard to still be alive, I won't say I love them. But they are part of my history now, and would definitely not want it to be how it was before all of that happened. That's me now, and it's part of who I am.

Due to severe allergies, incidents, and repeated surgeries, I have scars literally EVERYWHERE!!! I have come to the decision and realization that, even though I don't like the look of the scars themselves, I wear them with pride❣️. They are a part of me, my journey, lessons I've learned, and a part of why I am who I am today! I accept these scars, or as I like to call them my "battle wounds" 😂, as just another part of my growing process. I am comfortable , confident, and secure because I absolutely adore the person that I am today! I appreciate everything I've been through and/or experienced in life, because of the strength I have learned, my determination, my unconditional love for myself and others, my genuine heart, my open-mindedness, my personal boundaries, my ability to forgive people and the past etc.! Without any/all of these experiences, including physical and internal scars, I would just not be the happy, healthy, grateful, loving, compassionate, generous etc. person who I am so sincerely proud of! Embrace yourself, your body, your experiences, and everything that makes you YOU!!! God bless and love & light always! ❤️🙏🩷👼🥰😇💕🪽💗🌟💖✨💘💫💝🧿💞💎♊

What really worked for me was applying a dab of the Skinlyte natural kojic acid soap right after I pop my pimples. When it dries up and heals, there is hardly a mark left. Usually, at my age, those dark spots and scars remain for months. I have allergies and I sometimes get the hives that cause me to scratch constantly until the medicine kicks in. So I rub some of the soap on the places I scratch to prevent hyperpigmentation. I am very impressed by how well it works. I got it from Amazon. Don't get the other brands because they contain synthetic chemicals such as dyes and fragrance. Those will aggravate your condition and may cause irritation that will lead to more inflammation and hyperpigmentation.

I have numerous scars from DV from my ex fiancé all over my body, but 3 years on they’re still prominent and I dislike them. I’m a makeup artist but I really want to minimize the look of the ones on my face and knees more than anything else as they’re the most noticeable, the one above my right eyebrow con-caves in but still has the raised bumps either side of the concave, it’s incredibly difficult to completely hide with makeup although I can colour correct and highlight the centre so it looks flatter and more uniform with the rest of my face, without something like scar wax to fill the hole every day (which is expensive so I’d rather just save that for sfx makeup on clients/models and actors), it’s in no way manageable. I need skincare advice or treatment advice on how to minimize the look of it and my other scars on my face which are primarily hypertrophic scars like my nose bridge and nasal scars. (I’m still waiting in the UK via NHS for an appointment to get my septum looked at in ENT as I have a healed broken nose now, it’s not obvious from far away but up close you can see it and it affects my breathing and makes me prone to infections like bronchitis which I’ve had too many times to count now… As it’s not a major concern or emergency yet they have me on a stupidly long waiting list. In no way is it the NHS’ fault at all, it’s our government and ridiculously low funding for the NHS plus DV cases are growing in number especially this year with no immediate support health wise to survivors affected). Any way rant over, please make a video covering DV scars and bite marks and skin care/ treatment advice or if anyone in beauty therapy/aesthetics/dermatology knows anything, comment below please 💗

I have scars on both knees from ACL surgery. My right is the worst because I got PTSD from that surgery from complications from general anesthesia which almost killed me. I have a 5 inch scar on my knee so I can remember that moment every time I look at it. I see my scar in the shower I sometimes stair at it and can hear the monitors beeping from lack of oxygen. My left was way less traumatic and I had surgery full awake for it and it was a quad graft so the scar is about 2 inches. My right knee still has pain because it was a pettla graft and the scar is hypotrophic because the tendon didn't heal right and it is painful to do activities I enjoyed. I can't run no more or more than very short distances. I have talked my dermatologist about it and was a to bad so sad type of dead. I am a welder so I am covered in burn scars I don't care about those because I can at least take pride in those.

Question remains: How do we get rid of them? 🤔

I don’t even have any of those scars. My scars are just purple dots on my face. They’re not in dented. They’re not over dented. I don’t know they’re just purple.

Can you please cover Papular acne scars that typically appear on the nose and chin?
@taaa8101 Жыл бұрын
@@lindamenina109 I have them on my chin as well! It’s very a under treated and misdiagnosed scar type in the dermatological community and that’s extremely frustrating!!

You don't need to love every part of your body but you should at least feel neutral about it. No body is bad and no one should feel that they are. (Though btw to clarify, I was only refering to aesthetics with the top part of this comment. If someone has a painful or debilitating medical condition, I'm not saying you need to feel neutral about that and I hope there's treatment available for you.)
