Until these past few years, witchcraft was not separated into all these “sub categories” and given these cute names. This is the social media version of spirituality, which isn’t in & of itself “bad”. These are not types of witch- they are parts and pieces of the discipline. Essentially, we’ve taken a lifetime of learning & broken it up, which makes it more digestible, but ensuring nobody will get a full education. Like taking a book, and separating out all the chapters. Every single witch should know at least a bit of each of these subjects if they want a well-rounded experience.

Well put, but many do feel a strong pull in a particular direction and lose sight of or never learn other disciplines and areas of the craft. Are you from a line of witches? I believe I am, but that my ancestors were taught to hide, bury, or deny their gifts. I enjoy hearing more about all of the crafts/ callings. I don't know the true ways. Had I been able to talk to someone, I didn't know what was going on with me. I kept it all to myself until my 30s. I always wonder what it would have been like to have a mentor.

Historically a "witch" or someone doing what's being described above might have done all these things or combinations of these. Nobody would have ever called themselves a witch if asked to describe themselves though. People who didn't understand what they were doing would have definitely labeled them (if they did any of this and somehow knew) simply as witch in a perjortive sense. I do understand modern Wiccand don't see it this way and wish reclaim the title but what's being presented in this video is being stated as if it's historical fact or was historically this way. That is what makes it nonsense.
