TYPES (QUALITIES) OF ARABIC NOUNS. ARABIC GRAMMAR (LESSON 3).

In this lesson we are going to learn qualities of Arabic Nouns. In previous lesson we learned the types of Word: Noun, verb and particle. This lesson will cover the first type of word which is Noun. There are four qualities of Arabic nouns.
1. Masculine and Feminine(المذكر والمؤنث): Each noun in Arabic is either masculine or feminine.
2. Number (العدد): Singular, Dual and Plural: How to change singular noun to a dual noun?
There are two types of plural in Arabic: Sound plural and Broken(Irregular) Plural.
3. Ending Case (الإعراب): There are three cases of Arabic nouns:
a. The Nominative Case (حالة الرفع): is that the word ends with Dhammah.
b. The AccusativeCase (حالة النصب): is that the word ends with Fathah.
c. The Genitive Case (حالة الجر): is that the word ends with Kasrah.
4. Definiteness and Indefiniteness(التعريف والتنكير): Each noun is either definite(المعرفة) or indefinite(النكرة).
