Hisuian Typhlosion's ability to burn and confuse your opponent makes it easier for Alakazam to take its own knockouts in Pokemon TCG Live. You oppoent will have to flip coins and use their resources in order to attack you!

I play Alakazam too. Remember you can bring Klefki to the active to be able to hit Mimikyu with Alakazam

its just an option if you're trying to knockout a mimikyu. With Alakazam you want to keep him on the bench almost the whole time and that's one way to get around Mimikyu's ability. Makes it to where you don't have to power up something else that's not your attacker. @@RianDreamseeker

Ive been trying yhe Typhlosion with the Selazzle that does 90 damage per status condition on the opponents pokemon. Add in a brute bonnet and thats 270 + poison + burn. Its really not working though, its a dumb little deck when it does.

Try sneasel V, it does a little less damage but it's a base pokemon and requires 0 energy if I'm not wrong. That was the best combo for those I came up with but still feels like it is missing something

It’s playing different decks everyday. Now I’ll learn next time I run an Alakazam with Klefki. Didn’t think of it shutting down Mimikyu’s ability.

I am completed bamboozled by the sight of Charizard EX and a Giratina Vstar in one Deck (that actually won some how). What's next? Gholdengo EX and Pawmot EX? Lost Box and Maraidon EX? Snorlax and Hisuian Zoroark Vstar?

In that last game, I think you should have attacked Mimikyu with Typhlosion since it was active anyway.

@@snipethebench there was also having klefki in the active against Mimikyu that would allow Alakazam to attack (I think). But it's so easy to see and think of these things when you're not playing it.

I think the deck needs a little more drawing power. Throw a bibarel or two in the deck or possibly a pidgeot EX. I also think old cemetery would be fun to throw in there (until it rotates out).

Bench space is limited with Alakazam, Mimikyu, Typhlosion, Klefki and Xatu (hopefully you can get 2 out). I like the Cemetery though.

@hebenchMy idea was thinking 2 Alakazams, 1 Typhlosion, 1 Barbarel/Pidgeot EX, 1 Xatu, Klefki, or Mimikyu on the bench, and a Mimikyu or Klefki in the active

That's doable except the Pidgeot. That would be 4 Stage 2s.

There is a trainer that looks for a basic energy or a basic psychic Pokémon which would help quite a bit in this deck... also why colress? You see 5 cards but you completely remove 2 of them which is really bad if you can't take advantage of the lost cards...

It’s Fog Crystal. I didn’t put it in because it doesn’t search for the Cyndaquil since it is a fire Pokemon.

@snipethebench it misses one basic but hits energy, making it useful at all stages of the game rather then just the start and you can have other options to grab cindy which means if you get the other options Cindy is a high priority.

@snipethebench Serena, zinnia's resolve, Cynthia's ambition, school boy/girl are all draw supports that have various Merritts without sending important resources to the lost zone. And irida, arven and raihan can get rare candy specifically. I'll even make an argument for research even though it seems to whiff incredibly hard In my hands xD.
