It wasn't a safe place back then but I am even more concerned about the crime to day with the way these young kids act. The old gang members actually respected their grandparents and their mothers. These kids have absolutely no respect and the older gang members who are now almost 60 are ashamed of their behavior. The old gang members didn't dare disrespect their grandparents but these young kids today have no shame.

While World 9 is a world which you gain access by beating the whole game without using warp pipes, Worlds A-D are special worlds unlocked after beating the game 8 times (each time you beat the game you gain a star on title screen). It also makes sense in different way: Each game tile (including digit graphics) has a value that when increased, displays next tile in memory, so it happens that if you set a value that is displayed on the screen to 10, it displays a tile for letter 'A' which is after regular digits in console's video memory, then it goes through all letters, up to 'Z', some other symbols and other graphics that weren't supposed to be displayed as text (you can see this when using "infinite-lives trick" and seeing how many lives you have while dying or switching levels). Although I think it's pretty obvious that developers just used this gimmick, and the behavior for worlds A-D was intended.

The reason the Koopa shell doesn't always work against the Hammer Brother is because of a bug. To fix this, the Hammer Brother needs to be the first enemy lined up for collision detection, and if so, to reset the defeated enemy state.

Super Mario Bros: The Lost Levels has some of the worst level design I have ever seen. A lot of the levels require stupidly precise jumps, or there's BS wind physics, or you have to find blocks to clear jumps. There's a World 9, but in order to access it, you have to suffer through the whole game without using Warp Zones. And worse, to unlock Worlds A-D, you have to beat this game *eight times*. Well, that puts a turd ball in the poop sundae. And do you want to know why that sucks so much? Because the moment you start playing this game, you realize it's the same game but with frustrating levels, unimproved mechanics, and one new item that just *kills you*. What a slap in the face.

Man, this game is hard. Like, I played this on NSO and there were a couple levels where I had to keep rewinding because I kept messing up a jump. Plus, it’s kinda annoying that there’s a lot of levels that require you to do some Koopa bouncing because it’s kinda hard to do with the physics since they weren’t that great in the first Mario Bros. Also, it’s really annoying that you have to beat this game 8 times just to get Worlds A-D. Like, it would’ve been fine to just beat the game once without warps to unlock World 9 as usual and then you get a game over in the 9-1 to play Worlds A-D.

Es un salto muy mañoso, corre y sin soltar el botón de correr caes en el trampolín y en cuanto te impulse hacia arriba presionas el de salto, si no nunca se podrá llegar

Something smells fishy, where they were in the large castle they fell Into the lava, lava never hurt them. And that jump with the parakoopa where they still managed to jump from the nose and not the shell ?

Lava isnt actually lava. It's just decoration. And the parakoopa's shell hitboxes are probably bigger than you think
