Typhon 6s speed runs, road to 100 mph take 2.

Took the Typhon Out for another speed run with the new gearing on it it has the 28/46 Gearing on it came very close to the 100 MPH Mark but we will be revisiting this with better gearing soon.

Great job brother. 90mph is slot faster then before. Yeah get that 100C graphite battery 4000mah. You don't want the battery too big for a weight distribution. Go with 4000 max but get a 100C graphite that should put you up past 90. With your gearing. 👍👊

That’s what got me started on this I ran it with a stock tires and set up and hit like 62 mph at the time and immediately thought, how fast can we get this thing to go LOL

Tall tires are to blame for your issues here. You want everything as low as possible. Smaller tires help that. GRPs will lower it and give more grip. You can make up for the loss of rollout by gearing up. The Infraction V2 GP5 42/15 diffs will help.

Looked like the duratrax tires ballooning made the Typhon wreck. Looked rock solid on the hoons. AVC reciever helps stability, big difference. How about a 40t spur and Felony rears or Proline Avengers? There's your 100mph 😉

I’m going to go with a 32 tooth Pinion and a 42 spur and see if I can hit it if not then I need to find a little bigger tire that won’t blow apart LOL. And I’m running this on the DX5 I have the AVc on but I turn it down because honestly I don’t like it very much.

@@BarstoneRCsounds a plan 👍 I just ordered a 40t spur. I've had my stock Infraction to 86. Gearing that up should get me to 100mph. (AVC set to 20% gain on steering and 0 on throttle tamed the Typhon for me) I'll gear up the Typhon on the Avengers too. So with 3 sets of tires you can run it on a racetrack, bash and send it, and hit 90 mph..Pretty Awesome 👌

A little adjustment to slipper and add some spring clips to shocks turn down your steering a just turn a little to the side it pulls will help alot .

Yeah the suspension was acting weird I came home to find out the shock rod punched through the valve inside I changed out the valves and New oil.

@@BarstoneRC yep always something seems to go when it's speed run time love my kraton exb heck I like all my arrma yes they have problems but they all do plus we do things that shouldn't be possible if you do the scale break down ! My kraton I've have hitting 62 with a 150 esc 6s 2050kv spectrum and my vortex is like a new car after I stopped using spectrum receiver just switched out my kraton and vortex felony they perform better for me seems like the spectrum would get glitch out and just start turning left and no not from anything stuck in the servo or steering. Tried doing a recal but nothing seems to work so I just used what I had not doing anything. great video I like you show the bad ugly good great no Hollywood Ed 😎

Hey what are you doing about temperature because I'm set up with a 46 and a 29 pinion and after 3 or 4 runs my engine and ESC get about 150° and the instructions are the manual says something about 108° and I'm having a hard time with that so what I do is I do two three speed runs shut it off for about 20 minutes and then put it back on cuz I'm worried about eating up the ESC and engine I cut holes in the body I got three fans on the internet and one big 40 fan on the esc

I was only running mine two or three times on a speed run, but mine never really got hot I have now set mine back to dirt running mainly because the electronics couldn’t get me over thehundred mile per hour mark because I was running all stock electronics.

Are you asking what happens when you increase your spur gear? Or when you increase your pinion gear? Usually if you increase your spur gear over a certain amount it’s better especially for the stock electronics if you decrease the spur gear. That’s why when I went up to a 28 tooth I went down to a 41 to spur

It's not like the my motor mount malfunction or got bent or anything it's a screw that got stripped so I don't drive my trucks really rough or cars I just off-road and then on road and my driving skills are pretty much on point so when I do smack into something I most most the time I save it from smacking anything hard

Yeah is the stock electronics and the 25 tooth would not fit with the 50 spur so I had to use the Dremel tool and I probably I had to move about maybe a millimeter worth of metal to make it work and it does work very well but I'm trying to beat my buddy who has an attraction with the stock 6s 2050 KV motor and 185 KV smart ESC and he's running to 50 spur I guess with a 25t and he's not telling me what high speeds he's hitting before we race so I'm trying to figure out how can I give him the best race right now before me meeting up our first race
