VLOG 24 61 Me and the wife are out camping and I brought the Typhon Grom to see how it would do out here. Its small and very portable and very fast now with a brushless conversion people were shocked to see the little rc rip lol

I do think these things are perfect to throw in the car and go.. especially if your going for a lengthy drive you can usb charge the battery. I converted my granite grom to brushless but not sure if ill do the typhon grom.. fun little car as is.. great videos man!

With the smart battery and USBC charging, they are absolutely perfect for tossing in the car and going. The ability to charge off a power bank is a huge plus.

I like how you recycled old parts. I'm actually in the process of trying to do that right now, fighting the urge to buy something brand new when I don't actually need it. I have an old Dromida 5300kV brushless motor and esc, as well as a receiver and radio that I'm tossing in mine. I know the 1/18th scale truck it came out of absolutely ripped, so it should be perfect for the grom. I usually run the Yokomo YZ4 1/10th scale buggy and I'm hoping to get my grom performing similarly.

It should rip with that motor mine is a little rocket on a 3800 kv not to bad about 25 bucks on Amazon its working good such a light rc it doesn't need much it sure is fun now lol

@@L2theWcarscoffeelife It wouldn't be terribly hard to create holes to screw in body posts and use an after market body on the grom. Provided you can find a body in that scale with he correct wheelbase. I know I wouldn't bother, but it can be done.

actually it would there is nothing there to screw to its a small chassis every inch is taken up you have one center beam but the drive shaft is in there and it doesnt go all the way back because of the gear box. Like you said I am sure it can be done but its not worth the hassle it looks cool as it is

I use little buggies similar to the Grom just for ripping and jumping on the street, especially when there isn't room to run large scale one road like a Felony. Also great for when the ground is soaked and I don't want to get my off road RCs muddy.

Sounds like me lol The Felony can get expensive to run if your burning the tires like me lol definitely not always room for larger rcs this helps get your rc fix in wherever you go

Exactly, can't run the Felony in front of the house, too many cars, curbs, narrow (for the Felony) street. But 1/14-1/18 buggies have plenty of room to run, also tires are cheap!
