Typhoon - Performance Takeoffs [4K/UHD]

I recently learned that the Typhoon has 3 x the rate of climb of the EE Lightning. In fact it's pretty much the fastest climbing aircraft ever built. Lightning 20,000ft per minute, Typhoon 60,000ft per minute. Would explain the vertical take-offs.

Absolutely magnificent. I love my F-16 Block 70, but in a close-in turning knife fight, the Typhoon may be the best on the planet.

Each one of these take-offs varied from 8-12 seconds from brakes-off to main gear lift from the runway.

Amazing performance, at Prestwick, RW30 marking are easy to see, brakes off to main wheels off the ground in just under 1600ft, 500m.

These were 8-9 seconds if you count from brakes-off to wheels off the runway, which is excellent performance. F-35A did that at H-X competition in Finland carrying way more fuel. Gripens were the most pathetic at 18-21 seconds, took almost the whole runway.

I imagine getting off the ground and at high altitude fast was probably in the design spec when they were built to counter a Soviet attack.

Tyfoon is more agile than dassault ...look at the runway distance and the vertical take - off..... dassault cant do that under power engines......

Still doesn't have the pzazz of the Lightning, that couldn't use reheat until the wheels were up or it would go supersonic off the runway and it could go straight up like a missile for miles. Spectacular but wasted fuel, and not it's optimal climb rate of 50,000 per minute (yes us brits lie about fighter performance to fool the enemy, could punch a hole in cirrus in 16 seconds).
