Hi Salla, Am big fan of yours - very much facinated with your school-building project. As someone based in the UK and a very true African in spirit and heart, I was extremely happy when you called the potatoes 'Kabale Potatoes'. True and spot on, there is nothing 'Irish' in them as they are home grown in mother Aftrica for centuries. Keep on the lovely work working and promoting our very beautiful continent. Where I come from, we also have a dish called 'firinda' - ours made of any type of beans mixed with peanut butter. Keep eating organic food and fruits as you are doing. Also loved you calling one of fruits 'tomato fruits' hahaha! God bless you all; and keep making a difference in Africa as you are doing - bravo!!!

These type potatoes originated hundreds of years ago in Ireland according to historians. They were then taken all over the world. Hence the name, “Irish potatoes” everywhere for this type. Wherever the originated they are very tasty and versatile aren’t they? 😀

I enjoyed the video. Your food looks so good, especially the fruits. I was surprised you picked up the pot off the fire with only 2 leaves, doesn't that burn your hands? We have "pot holders" in my country. They are 2 small square pieces of thick fabric we use to hold hot pots and pans.

To make things easy you can put the beans in cold water and rub it in your palm and it will be easier or soak them in warm water for about 30-40 minutes and do the same by rubbing it with your hand and that will be quick and easy like how we wash beans to make akara or beans cakes in west Africa

That round thing made of draw we call Katta. Where you fetch the water is not a well is a spring like where spring bottled water comes from. It’s one of the best water. The water comes from underneath the earth and springs out there so the put a wall to control the flow. This area is everything like Jamaica , the soil the greenery the mountains

@@sallatourist seeing there brings back so much memories of my grandma place as a child. Jamaica has all the fruits you were eating and a lot more. We have a wide variety of fruits even more than our Caribbean neighbors. Our slave owners brought fruits from all over the world to feed us this is why we have such a huge variety. I love the things I see in Africa. The mother land is the best.
