Tumeric powder better to use less stress on the stomach. It has a lot of health benefits. Very good if you suffer from arthritis.

The best way to tell when fried chicken is done is that it gets quiet, the chicken floats to the top of oil, and the vigorous bubbling begins to die down.

Wow! This is how my dad cooks. He doesn’t use powder seasoning (all natural) it’s so refreshing to see someone using natural seasoning and not the powder seasoning! I just liked and subscribe.

I can’t tell you enough how happy I am to find your Chanel. Binge watching your videos so I could prep. Thank you Lady Debbie. It’s like all the lessons I never got to learn from my mother I could learn from you. Although I’m Haitian, the Caribbean cuisines have so many similarities. @@gordanazakula4927 use a similar spoon like the one she has in the video, and learn by trying I'd say, as you can see she tastes the stuff and knows when it's enough ( I don't think people that cooks the old school way were taught like that or even know how to do it, they just know it), everyone likes things (more salty, sour or sweet) differently, my grandma taught me how to cook and it was without measurements or scales, now when I'm cooking I just look at things and know when they are done, I think you just master that with time, have a nice day and stay safe.

I think the residue that you’re speaking is what we call “drippings” Momma Delight. I’ve never seasoned my chicken with fresh herbs always powdered. I’m definitely going to try it this way. Thanks so much for this!!!

Hi Miss Debbie, may I suggest you always start with seasoning the meat, and break shortly after, so for those who do not wish to view the seasoning of meat, they can skip that portion? I find seeing you do everything from beginning to end, is extremely essential to the meal being authentic. Thank you for sharing your tips and tricks, they are greatly appreciated 👌🏼

Miss Debbie you are the real thing. Discover your channel while on vacation, I’d say you made it the best ever. While staying in with COVID-19 nothing to do but try new dishes. First I tried the Brown Stewed Whole Fish(Easter Edition) well, Miss Debbie I have made it many times since and still can’t get enough. BEST EVER FISH!!! 😋😋😋 Just finished watching the Fried Chicken & Gravy video, that will be next on my list, with potato salad and cold slaw it will be out of the Ball Park. I do this too, i reuse the oil but use a very fine metal strainer and strain the oil off and get rid of the some of the residue out of the oil

I can fry chicken, But, I don't want to do the seasoning of my liking.. it will taste like mine! I'm using everything you use bc I'm 53 and tired of my own food during this quarantine LOL My husband said to cook it this week. Thank you for everything you share !
