My daughter went to college in Colorado and made some friends with some amazing Ukrainian women. She said they take time to see if you are trustworthy, but once they trust you, they will be your friend for life. So precious!!! What a beautiful house, they did so much work to it! I have never seen steps designed like the ones on the stairs going to the attic, but it is a very good idea! They make it easier to go up and down such steep stairs. The owners have something they can be very proud of

Absolutely AMAZING house!! My mother was an antique dealer, she bought and sold many many antiques, so I recognized the Singer sewing machine! It looks fabulous! The whole house and the atmosphere are really comfortable and attractive. I really like the rope on the wood joints, such a nice decorative touch! Each room has it's own style and flavor. Such beautiful decorations, and I love all the hard work she has obviously done on the house and everything. THOSE STAIRS!!! They are simply amazing!! I never would have thought to make the alternating cuts so that such a steep stairway would be safe and useable!! Really great craftsmanship on them, and the whole interior in general is very well done. I hope to be able to visit this place sometime in the future!! Also, my best wishes for you both, and for Ukraine in general. Right now it seems that many world politicians are making a mess of the world, or at least trying very hard to make a mess. I hope that this does not happen, and that things calm down, people are safe, and can and will go back to their own countries safely. Everyone's military should stay home, and let people live their lives. Love the channel, and love Luba's cooking channel also!!!

The tree decor in the cart. Those are gnomes. They have become very popular in the last 3-5 years, but have always been a thing. Not just like that, but to sit on shelves. Typical Ukraine house, from my prospective, I think there is nothing typical about this home. It’s a beautiful,historic home. It is what we call Log Cabin Style, So warm and inviting. Thank you for this tour. What an amazing house. I'm sure you are familliar with the saying, "Other person's trash is another person's treasure". This phrase truly fits this wonderful, and creative lady. Simply amazing. I've mentioned before, been to Ukraine at least 5 times. My ex wife is from there. I only visited Kharkov(that's where she lived) Kiev, and the Crimea, so I stayed in the Eastern part of the country, and never went further west of Kiev. Such a beautiful area. I also loved the traditions of when you visited people, you'd bring a gift, and show respect by taking off your shoes, and wearing footwear provided by the owner. I remember bringing one gift to my wife's sister's home. I brought a Kiev cake(I loved Kiev cake) Take a wild guess who enjoyed the cake more:

I actually like the way stuff looks, reminds me how it used to look back in the 80's, dirt roads with rock gravel and fields, the smell of grass but as time went by things changed to more buildings and more houses and paving the roads, hardly any fields and the view is nothing but buildings. Then I watch videos like these it brings that back memories of a better time. I went to a friends house once it was messed up, I told him why you telling me this, I am used to this type of stuff that he didn't have to worry about what I thought I grew up like this.
