The black stuff is a alien parasites that can shapeshift since Fortegreen or in this version I guess Olive had this parasite attached to him he can shapeshift, change their colour and separate themselves into more little parasites. I also think that the that the parasites have the ability to mind control whoever their attached to, same with the little control button Red and Purple have but since Red only has half of it, it can't control him yet and can't see the ghosts all the time only sense them. The only reason it took control of Purple straight away is because the button was still a whole button instead of half, so it still has the ability to control Purple but if Purple tries they can take control again. As for Pink they are a ture impostor meaning they have always been an impostor, this would also explain their love for food and would why they can't see ghosts because only the impostors with the buttons can which means Olive and Pink can't see or sense the ghosts and that Red can only sense them when they are trying to communicate to them or if they are close by. This is why Purple and Olive want to kill their friends because Olive doesn't remember much cause they don't see any pictures of them and their friends and Purple is pretty quiet. Red might of also not be being controlled because they love their friends so much which makes them immune to the control over him and can only be controlled if they are unconscious and doesn't know what is happening cause their mind is unconscious which explains why nobody has been killed by them yet, but all of their minds are open and they know they know what their doing the others just can't stop because of the mind control but I do really think that all the impostors are good, I also think that having strong positive emotions like love towards someone helps get rid of the mind control but they have to understand what they are feeling too. Plus I think all the impostors have strong positive feelings towards each other like how Pink isn't dead yet cause it has been confirmed that impostors can kill each other and I have a feeling that Purple would rather do things alone then with Pink because of how much they get distracted by food and that Olive said to Red not to kill Tan even though Red didn't suggest killing them so yeah they all have strong positive feelings towards each other but they don't understand what the feeling is. I almost forgot but the parasites are weak to water. This is the end of my thoery I hope someone can pass it on to the creator of this amazing content and tell them that I sent it that would be great 😁
