You can also use the shortcut Ctrl + Shift + K for code fences.

@@TheBuilder No worries, I just started using this for a book I'm publishing. Wish there was a way to insert image captions.

@@fromwhatiknow9677 have you considered LateX? it comes with a lot of bells and whistles, especially if you're working on larger projects. you can also try compiling with pandoc, I believe there are dialects of markdown that support that.

@@TheBuilder Yeah I was kinda wondering about it. Typora relies on pandoc I believe for file exports. I just want something easy to use and Typora fits the bill :)

This is amazing and exactly what I've been looking for. Thanks so much for bringing my attention to it. I needed something different from vs code to write notes in since I'm already using the software for work and this is so much better it blows my mind!

vs code is quickly turning into the next emacs with all the features it has packed in plus extensions but typora is more elegant, more form over function which gives it a charm

I use Typora for all my note taking now. It looks so good. Haven't worked out how to get highlight to work yet though. Even though I have ticked it in the prefs

make sure the language specified in the markdown is spelled correctly

@@TheBuilder Actually I have now got it to work. I paid for the full version and now I can get to highlight through Format/highlight. Thanks

I love the markdown from Typora but I don't like how it manages images.

Its possible to drag and drop images into the text editor and it will automatically add the required markdown for you

Hello!!! I just installed it but there are 2 features that I am looking for.. How can resize the preview area into A4 papers (like in word) so once I finish typing I know how exactly the file will look like so I can print it! 2) Can I resize the page so I can write Margin notes? Honestly I am trying to let it as customizable as I can so it can replace (almost) Latex. I don't have time to learn Latex for now so I am looking for a Markdown Editor that basically can be like Word or Latex but with all the Markdown benefits (and Latex maths formulas support). Thank u🙏🏽

there is work around for it by exporting it to pdf file. go to preferences ->export ->click PDF there u can select paper size for pdf exports and now you can export your markdown document to pdf and see how it looks in a a4 print sheet
@ahmedfarrag173 жыл бұрын
@@insaneduck Thank you! But I meant A4 size in the preview area where I am texting and inserting images etc. (Like in Word) and not only when I convert/export to pdf. Is there any editor that allows me to do that? Thank you🙏🏽
