I really appreciate the honest review. I think it’d be natural to simply say it’s amazing bc it’s an “elite” shoe. I’m not sure we need elite shoes (or the elite pricing).

Hey Joel! Love the channel and the IG! Any insight on the TYR shorts compared to the ten thousand shorts?
@AMRAP4 ай бұрын
They're nice! Similar to 10k Intervals with a better DWR finish.
@rjnj144 ай бұрын
Thanks for quick reply. I love the 10k Session shorts, the interval waistband always seems to be twisted or wonky. Whats “DWR” as you mentioned above? Is the waist band like or better than Interval?

Carbon plated shoes don't even last that long since they're considered race day shoes. This is absolutely wild.
@CarlosaurusRex3 ай бұрын
Yeah, but carbon-plated racing shoes NEED to be light/airy, which tends to come at the cost of their durability. Whereas there isn’t nearly as much of a need for training shoes to be lightly built, so I’m assuming/hoping that Tyr felt no need to skimp on durability, since that’s clearly a higher priority aspect in a CrossFit shoe. Plus, I’m sure Joel would’ve mentioned something, if he noticed any signs of flimsiness/failure points. My skepticism is aimed more towards the claim of a 25% increased vertical propulsion. I’d really love to see their methodology & data on those tests, if for nothing more than sheer curiosity.

Hey Joel, I’m wearing 9 for Nike(s), 9 for Nano X4 and 8.5 for Nano X2, which size should I get for this tyr carbon, thank you very much, ur videos helped me to get the true sizing for nanos too!

Is this a shoe that you wouldn’t train in everyday because of wearing them down quickly? I like to train in the same shoes I compete in. And do you notice the change from 7-4mm on the drop?
@AMRAP4 ай бұрын
@@fusiongains given the use, I’d assume they would hold up better than plated runners but I still don’t think this is an everyday training shoe. You do notice the difference in drop.

@@AMRAP and you wear size 10.5 for CXT-2? Because you mention the 10.5 are a bit tight on the elite. I want to buy the regular CXT-2 and have size 9 (42.5 EU) for Romaleos 2. For some other shoe brands I even need to buy 8.5 so I fear that size 9.5 for CXT-2 would be too big.
