One of the best shoe reviews I’ve ever seen. Maybe the best.

Hi, Thanks for the great review! What do you think about TYR DropZero Barefoot Lifter?
@garageganggymsАй бұрын
I haven't had a chance to try them out I have used their trainer (not barefoot) and it reminds me a lot of the Reebok Nano. The Barefoot shoe for $160 I'm not convinced will be better for me than a flexible Shoe (flexible toe box) in a $70 pair of Suavs or $100 Xeros. The newest weightlifter, with the carbon plate is interesting but for $335 I'll pass

Hey thanks for you excellent review! I currently lift in legacy lifter 2. I am wondering if LXJ's heel height is taller or shorter than the legacy lifter2.
@garageganggyms6 ай бұрын
From what I've heard about the legacy 2s and even 3s, the heel heights sound very similar to Lus. The Lus I've heard have a more solid upper and inner materual than leg 2s. The toe box I've heard is very similar. I was tempted to buy legacy 3s (with the pump) but had someone who owned the leg 3s and Lus say he preferred the Lus

So deep and elaborated review. Thank you for that. my ball of foot is the main concern for me, its wide like 5 inchs, could LuXiaoJun accommodate it? Once again thank you!
@garageganggyms5 ай бұрын
I appreciate the comment! The ball of my foot is just over 4" size 8.5 in Lu Not sure if they'd be the best for you since I can't find any info for width at each size. I have a client that has wider feet than mine and got lucky - he found a pair of Nike Romeleos 1s which I believe are the largest shoe in the ball of the foot. You may need to reach out to LuXiaoJun and ask! Sorry I couldn't be more of a help!

Between romaleos 4, tyr Weighligting and Lu Xiaojun, which has a higher drop?
@garageganggymsАй бұрын
Rom 4s and Tyrs have roughly 3/4". Lu has 1" heel

What about sizing for the lu’s? I’ve never owned lifting shoes and I’m considering these. Currently I wear nike metcons 7s size 11US
@garageganggyms6 ай бұрын
I'd highly recommend using Lu's size chart - it's pretty accurate. Stand on a tape measure. Walking around shoes, I wear a 1/2 size bigger than the lifters. I want a shoe that's bolted onto my foot and doesn't allow for slippage

I can’t find that tier blue green color
@garageganggymsАй бұрын
It's the wodapalooza color. It has stars and stuff on it - galaxy. I'm not sure if you can get your hands on a pair of TYR with this color anymore 🤔

It's an old colorway that they don't have anymore. I see that color pop up on eBay from time to time.

Romaleos 2 currently or Luxiaojun shoes upgrade worth it?
@garageganggyms6 ай бұрын
The Rom 2s are considered by many to be the best. The heel in the LU is taller than Rom 2s (by 1/4"). Construction wise, clunkiness wise, I feel the lu's are built very similarly but with the added heel lift. If in your lifting, you struggle with maintaining an upright posture, the additional heel might be a benefit to you

Do you have any experience with the rom 4’s? How is the sizing on the lu’s compared to rom 4 or rom 2?
@garageganggyms5 ай бұрын
I've owned both the 2s and 4s. For the Lus I went 1/2 size smaller than both the 2s and 4s. Construction wise it feels very similar to the 2s - clunky when you walk, wide where it needs to be and lateral fins. The 4s IMO are some of the worst shoes I've ever worn and a far cry from the 2s. The 4s are much narrower, crammed my toes, didn't breathe at all (Lus don't breathe great by the way) and I felt lack of lateral stability even though the fins jut out further than I remember the 2s doing. The 2s and 4s do only have a 3/4" heel where the Lus have 1". This will push your shins a bit more forward when squatting, and people with plenty of ankle mobility might be at a disadvantage. Taller lifters, longer femur, longer torso type people should benefit greatly from the extra 1/4" heel raise

@@garageganggyms I owned both the rom 2 and 4, my rom 2 is already 1/2 size smaller than the 4, so I think I should go for the same size on the lu’s Do you agree?
@garageganggyms5 ай бұрын
@marcelohenriquepandion2868 yeah, I agree. Just to be on the safe side, roll out a tape measure and do a quick check. The Lu sizing charts are spot on from what I've experienced/heard
