Let me say it first here! I'm sorry about the horrible flickering during the Necron 360s, A software update made it so some of my old video files are sorta corrupted.. It'll take a bit to fix, but you shouldn't see this issue going foward.

I’m struggling finding a reason to play tyranids since a while. I love the army but it seems so underwhelming at this moment. Seeing every codex more powerful than my bugs is not fun. I’m switching more and more to Blood Angels lately… one month until the dataslate…

I've been having loads of fun with them recently because my group have been avoiding meta like the plague lol, We've been bringing fun fluffy lists and using narrative terrain setups and most games have been really close with a pretty even win rate But yeah, the second I play 'nyds against a meta list it's just sadness and frustration

Fantastic timing for the upload and even with my two favorite races. One thing, i´ve been told that in order to double use a battle tactic stratagem via abilities such as "Will of the hivemind". You have to pay for the stratagem first, and only then you could double up on it with the Hive Tyrants ability.

This is true due to how Stratagems work. The Hive Tyrant's ability allows you to use a strat on a unit that's already been used this phase, but doesn't enable someone else to do so, if that makes sense. The best way to think of it is almost that it's the Hive Tyrant casting the Strat himself.

The exact wording is "Once per turn, one friendly TYRANIDS unit within 12" of one or more models with this ability can be targeted with a Stratagem for 0CP, EVEN if another unit from your army has already been targeted with that Stratagem this phase." The word even is clearly there to signify that the strat can be used twice and there's nothing to suggest you need to pay for that stratagem first

@@deleted4577 Example, your opponent shoots a unit next to your hive tyrant. You rapid regeneration that unit for 0CP. Then your opponent shoots another unit other side of the board from the hive tyrant. They cannot use rapid regeneration because it was already used. However, if the sequence happened the other way round, it would work, as the hive tyrant enables a repeat use of the strat.

@@BLUEBOYISLEDGE I agree with you there rules as written, basically what I'm saying is that the WotHM ability lets you use a strat for free if: 1. You have not yet used the strat 2. You have already used the strat already (and paid for it) And I agree that it (stupidly imo) locks you out of paying for a strat that has already been consumed for free by WotHM What OP argued was that you have to first use a strat (and pay for it) before you can use WotHM to use that strat a second time, for free I understand the miscommunication because 40K rules are worded fucking awfully lol

I refuse to play Wraith/Technomancer and when ever I play AGAINST it I suffer. I do fine against non-Necrons but I always suffer in the mirror match. The only thing that seems to work is a full 10 model unit of Deathmarks to kill the Technomancer and then my Skorpekhs or Nightbringer usually finishes them but it's a lot of work to kill a 300ish point unit.

not seeing the genestealers proc a bunch of devastating wounds was harsh. re-roll H1s from hypnotic gaze. re-roll W1s if near an objective Mine normally much through anything.

T 1 into the wraiths the cp u spent on 5+fnp would habe been better off used on giving the brood lord precission, that strat is basically mandatory going into necrons, would make the unit loose there fnp and the genestealers would have basically been doublexas effective.. BTW both of your armies look absolutely fantastic xD

Broodlord's claws are strength 6. He should've been wounding those wraiths on 4s

Dont forget to use broodlord hypnotic gaze. Also, broodlord has devs built in. He just loses the reroll 1s. I think using pilein shenanigans to tag other units to lock them in their deployment. If you took a second unit, you could crash it in turn 2 and lockdown 3 units for 2 turns.

His 5++ / 5+++ are a lot like mine, which is why I don't bring genestealers anymore. #feelsbad. Should have overwatched with the flamer at 1:13 instead of the barbgaunts. 6d6 on 6's is no where near 2d6 hits. List changes, get rid of the genestealers, 1 - 5 man barb gaunts. add in a 20-man or two 10-man unit of gants and a tyrannofex with the rupture cannon. Haurespex can put a good amount of hurt on the monolith too. so can maleceptors, especially if it is battle shocked.

Modeling for advantage with those wraiths big time. Change from their normal top bulky hard to hide configuration to a very low profile with a easy to hide tail to maybe keep relative height.

Each box of 3 has one tall one medium and one hunched over, none of them look like a scorpion with their main body being 1" high from the base.

Ahh I see what happened, the poor quality model showcase. What I took at canoptek wraiths were your lokhust heavy destroyers which ARE 100% not the model for that kit. What you called lokhust heavy destroyers ARE canoptek wraiths, customized to look like a scorpion, again not even coming close to the LHD kit. I've seen some other shenanigans and rules problems in other battle reports from this channel. Thumbs down and unrecommended.

Genestealers are just not good enough, I know people like them but they never do enough damage and just get mullered in return every time.

Genestealers are incredible... into light infantry. Which can be said about a lot of stuff in our codex. The problem is when we have to whittle down elites or (god forbid) heavy armour Our low strength and AP really hurts us (especially when armies pop AoC style strats on top of that)

Nothing's good enough into wraiths+technomancer, except precision. Throwing a glass "cannon" unit like GSs into them is just a death sentence. Tyranids have ironically one of the best tool in the game to kill the character, lictors. 55 pts for a guy who hits on 2s, wounds on 3s, -2AP, that's a dead technomancer almost every time. All that said, GSs are pretty bad indeed. STR4 is a bit of a joke in this edition, even more so without wound re-rolls.

they have devastating wounds and re-roll 1s. 40 attacks, hitting on 2s, re-rolling 1s is normally about 38 hits, of which 6 are devastating, plus the broodlord. into armour, like a rogal dorn, that's normally 9 wounds minimum, which isn't great, but into anything less than toughness 8 they are brutal. so thunderwolves, or anything with invulns
